This thread was made out of curiosity. How many 30s will actually allow 29s to run hard raid with them? And what are the conditions? Just curious as to whether it is the minority or majority of 30s who won't run with 30s at all on hard raid.
So if you're a 30 and you let 29s run with you, just drop a line and say whether there can only be 2 or 1 or whatever conditions you would allow a 29 run hard raid with you.
Let's see how 30s really are...
Edit: Wow surprised at how many people are actually good 30s
edit 2: I've heard it's helpful to have a raid clan. Is this true or not so much? If it is true, are there any and recruiting?
Edit 3: we are trending! That's a nice surprise, keep it up guardians!!
Are there any raid clans recruiting?

I'm extremely hesitant to let a 28 in; did it once and he was a liability. But 29s with experience in normal are usually welcome especially since my usual people are 31 now. Wouldn't want more than 2 personally as it makes oracles on Atheon a tad harder.
-
I'm a level 30 and accept 29's even high 28s if they know what they are doing everyone needs a chance and was at that stage before team work is the key and yes we are recruiting if any1 wants to join l3g3ndary guardians
-
I actually let 28s join me on hard mode.

5 RepliesCan explain raid mechanics and can lay out the sequence of actions and their accompanying call outs: "What to listen for, what to inform about, and where to be".
-
Only if they have a maxed VoC or IB/Gjal or are playing with gear they haven't upgraded yet (like Crota gear)
-
Only if I know the 29 has good guns/is very good at the game. Otherwise, I'd rather not roll the dice w/ some lfg random.

VOG hard Inv or message AlbertAnalstein Warlock-29 sunslinger

If you got atheon on hard ill let you in I have 5 31s waiting
-
Why not It takes skills, not levels. Beside, everybody go through the phase of 29. Why would you be a jerk after reaching 30?

Edited by DevilStarr: 12/6/2014 1:16:33 AMmy clan will take 29s. requirements are that you: have a mic, follow direction, accept constructive criticism, have patience, on the xbox (360 or the xbone) and a good sense of humor that's it. yes we are a raiding clan. and yes we are recruiting. legends in our spare time #lost1

I will, as long as they have beaten it before. I have had experienced a full team of 29s and had to stop at atheon which sucked.
-
Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww, 29's. Burn them with fire!
-
Edited by Atrocity v85: 12/6/2014 1:13:06 AMI always let 29's join and don't kick them unless they truly cannot learn how to hard raid. Normally will help until atheon, and if atheon takes over an hour, I'll just give them a notice an ddrop out.
-
I'll let 29's in. Usually only like about 2 but will run 3 if I have decent team. I know everyone was a 29 at some point why should you be left out for being a 29.
-
You're welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

1 ReplyPeople have dirt on 29s and I have dirt on thirties... When the 27s and 28s and 29s are pulling the team on normal instead of the three 30s, there is a problem... We couldn't beat normal atheon because the level 30s would always die with the relic... I'm a 29 and I can relic on hard as long as I get assistance with the retarded Minotaur on Venus... When I post for 29s or 30s they have to be somewhat descent... I would take an experienced 29 over a noob 30 any day...

Edited by swirve: 12/6/2014 1:05:46 AMJust finished my 5th hard raid for the week...with 2 29's on the team.... The best advice is don't all talk at once, have a clear plan for each stage and help each other out...no one player can beat the raid on their tod... I would not recommend going in with more than 3 29's unless you are ultra organised and skilled...I've managed with 4 or 2 29's and a 28 but they were all skilled players.... What is a better approach is if you have many 29's run multi raids to keep the numbers tighter, it will possibly be quicker especially if you use checkpoint trading...

Lvl 29 warlock. Hard raid ?
-
On my first hard mode clear only I was level 30 (Which I went into the portals at all times to pick up the relic). Under the current conditions I would bring a maximum of 2 29s because it's not worth getting screwed if 3 29s get thrown through portals on atheon. Nothing against 29s or anything but they get 2 shot by the portal hobgoblins which can happen Alot easier than you think. 1 of us was also a 28 in our first hard mode clear which is now unheard of. The damage reduction is out of hand and they patched the old Templar platform. The first clear we hit the enrage timer on atheon so that should tell you enough.

1 ReplyEdited by Joewrx: 12/5/2014 4:20:46 PM1 or 2. Atheons to hairy with 3 29s. I also got denied from a group on my lock because i was a 27. These days 27 is too low for normal
-
We ran it last night with 3 29s on Hard. It was tough but, we got it.
-
I'll take up to 3 29s as long as they have maxed weapons doesn't matter the weapon but needs to be maxed out. They need to show they put effort in if they wanna do hard raid.
-
I wouldn't have become a 30 if I had not played hard as a 29. We all started as 29s so this whole 30s only thing seems off. That said I definitely understand why some prefer a minimum of 3 30s or what not because sometimes there are some glitches that make the raid rougher such as the everlasting Pretorian or Minotaur. I'd AT least ask the Teammates to have leveled up weapons.

Newly made clan looking for quality members. And a team to do crotas end with. Clan name: AreYouCasualBro
-
I usually look at grimoire more than anything, it shows how much experience a player has just playing the game in general.
-
I'll run the hard raid with a 28. Level makes no difference when it comes to skill in the raid. If anything, 30 is just a handicap.
