Switching console systems and keeping Guardian / Expansion Question
Hello,
I am wondering if with the game, Desitny, being online will my data for my Guardian(s) transfer with their exact level if I am to update to a larger hard drive console, being that the console is the same brand i.e. Xbox One 500 Gb to Xbox One 1 Tb and the same for replacing the hard drive on the PS4 for expanded storage.
With the Expansion(s) coming soon are they a one time code similar to DLC or can they be used multiple times. For instance if I installed the expansion on a hard drive but later decided to use a larger had drive will my Expansion Pass transfer automatically or will I have to resort to other methods, trying to download the DLC again through the Xbox Live / PS Network support?

3 RepliesYou just have to use the same Gamertag and restore your content licenses to be able to download the game when you have your new HDD. All your character data is tied to your GT/PSN on Bungie's side

I think you are safe, although you may need to redownload/install the dlc pass. Switching hard drives won't affect your characters, as that is saved on bungie's servers. You can even play on an older console of the same brand and have the same characters. The DLC codes are linked to the gamertag that originally redeemed them, and usually the mac address or console ID they were originally redeemed on, and can only be used once. If your console isn't changing, and you are using the same gamertag/psn id, you shouldn't need to purchase the season pass again if just changing the hard drive. If you swap consoles, and you want to use the dlc with a different gamertag/psn ID, there may be a way to do a license transfer to the new console. 360 had a web form you could use to do this once a year, but I haven't looked to see if xbone has something similar.
