My favorite legendary HC: The Devil You Know
Favorite exotic HC: Hawkmoon
Current setup:
TDYK
*Missing a shot has a chance to return ammo directly to the magazine
*send it- increased range and accuracy
*kills with this weapon grant bonus reserve ammo

(btw: was planning on buying TDYK. Then I found a legendary engram. First one I had ever found.

The Last Word for an exotic, The devil you know for anything else. Went back to TDYK today after iron banner and I for got how easy head shots are with it. I wanna get that New Monarchy hand cannon though.

Fatebringer no contest for PVE. Wrecks mobs with firefly. Arc damage and no exotic slot taken sweeten the deal. TLW no contest for PVP. Takes some finesse but it will outshoot anything in the game in the hands of a skilled user. Still waiting for my Hawkmoon...

I like thorn a lot performance wise EXCEPT the atrocious reload time. didn't have the DOT upgrade until after the accidental nerf so I can't really complain there I guess. BUT I personally don't like how the gun looks and I HATE the stupid needle things it shoots out that appear to be as big as the gun itself. that's a really small stupid thing to bitch about but have you seen those things? there's no way that came out of thorn

I have grown to enjoy my [b]Hawkmoon[/b], much more than the SUROS Regime I used to love. [i]"Why do you guys need to use so many bullets to kill something? It doesn't just take 1 headshot?" [/i]

I LOVE the Fatebringer and TDYK also like to toy around with Thorn and LTW from time to time :D Handcannons rock! I love them as much as I do scout rifles!

2 RepliesThere is only one hand cannon that I've ever liked: The Fatebringer. Got it last night and instantly loved it. I bought TLW from Xur, but I'm not a fan. I'll gladly take a Hawkmoon, since it seems like a nice trophy weapon. But really, for me at this point (and I'm not really a hand cannon person) The Fatebringer is the beginning, middle and end of the conversation.

I used to like Thorn in Crucible, but I can't get myself to use it since they accidentally nerfed it.

No fancy legendary/exotic hand cannons here, I just wreck fools in the crucible with my Painted Big Chief. I'm actually curious if most of the hype around the leg/ex hand cannons is equally applicable to the less rare ones. They combine the qualities of shotguns and snipers without compromising too much on impact or range. The only situation where you are legitimately helpless wielding a hand cannon are ultra long range vs a sniper (if you can't find cover) and mid range against an AR if for some reason you can't strafe. The great advantage is you can keep moving if necessary and shoot from the hip. 3/4 is all it takes (sometimes two). Plus if you meet a foe with your shields already down, that one shot you land will take off 40% of their health for a nice assist. Any other gun and you can't inflict significant damage before you die. Only catch is you need to be able to aim half-decent. If you can't do that then stick to SUROS Regime with the other nubs.

My favorite hand cannon right now is my maxed Thorn. It was killer before and after the nerd and I am looking forward to the upgrade after the promised buff. It was pretty good in IB this week and surprised quite a few players coming at me😉. The range and impact is great and I love watching the poison effect.

Lord High Fixer was my first. Then I got Thorn, then Fatrbringer, then TDYK, then TLW, and finally Hawkmoon. Love Hawkmoon and Fatebringer. I won't use any other Hand Cannons, but I am still collecting them.

Just got Fatebringer this morning which will take the place of my TDYK.

Have fatebringer and the last word. Love both of them, fatebringer on pve due to the precision kills causes targets to explode, can wipe mobs with like 1-3 shots. Use the last word on Pvp due to the impact and the insane rate of fire and bonus accuracy and damage while fired from the hip. I'm out killing people on IB who use, suros, thorn, and VoC. Would love to play with hawk moon, feel like thorn is lacking rate of fire for how cool it is.

PvP: TLW and Thorn, can't wait for Thorns buff. Both look badass. PvE: Was my Lord High Fixer with Luck in the Chamber and more ads range, but she might get retired due to Fatebringer dropping last night.
