Beware Of Iron Banner Lv 30s
Be sure to check out the gear of the randoms added to your raid team. We have a lot of new 30's with IB gauntlets and Legs looking to do the Hard Raid Mode with Zero to NO HARD RAID EXPERIENCE.
I unfortunately had the opportunity to run not 1 but 2 endless raids with IB level 30s who just tried to run and gun Atheon. IB 30's who didn't know how to use the relic. They refused to listened to strategy.
CONGRATS TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE FINALLY ATTAINED LEVEL 30. (Now run the raid on normal endlessly until you know it like the back of your hand!!! And then attempt the raid on hard mode, so you're not wasting everyone's time)

This post isn't meant to discredit those who tolled hours on hours to reach level 30 with IB gear. I just want everyone to know that being 30 doesn't automatically make you good at raiding.

Gear is not limited to just Legs, chest, arm &, helm. Gear also includes weapons and space ships. Other than raid armor these things can be used to gauge a players hard raid experience.
And for the all the players that have commented gear shouldn't matter it's all about skill. Skill only works when you have the experience to back it!

I'm going to wear the Iron gear just to mess with people. They will be all like "wow this guy actually plays like a 30 but he got it from Iron Banner" but then I be like "I AM FULL RAID ARMOR MAN!"

Its so random that even if you're skilled or experienced enough to do the hard raid, there would be a slim chance for you to get the actual gear set that you've been waiting for... For you on the other hand, you got lucky... #practicemakesperfect lol you think your up high there when your completion of raid is not even close to those that tried the hardest, i have 47 completion raid by the way... You're the scrub here...

3 RepliesHaha my IB pinstripe gauntlets make my hunter look like a -blam!-ing Sir. Lol love em but just after I bought em and maxed them I dropped raid ones haha. I like the raid based bonuses they give you though. I'm yet to get raid boots and chest piece but hit lv 30 coz of IB gear and the bounties being so easy lol. I do need a team who is actually not retarded to complete hard raid. Ideally no 29s because they're retarded and always grab the relic and die and don't know how to not die. It's like if you're getting shot, run....derr

Te be fair, you should pick up a player with raid exp while raiding hard, not by their gear. Some IB 30s think they can suddenly join in hard mode while they only have few normal raid exp, at the same time some 29s raid alot hard mode but still can't get to 30 but gearing IB.

I have IB Boots and gauntlets on my Hunter only because they look cool, I have a warlock with full raid, and I've run the hard raid more then most, so if I ever get kicked from a game because of my choice in gear then I feel sorry for u

2 RepliesNo your right you douche canoe, having IB gauntlets doesn't make me good at raiding, but the helm that I have says that I can and do hold my own in the hard mode. Normal is a walk in the park and HM is getting to be that way as well.

The first person that says crap about my IB gear I'll just quietly leave the group and let them find another level 30 with full raid gear AND full IB gear. :)

1 ReplyTo start off, 30 is 30 and I want as many as possible to hit it so raids will be easier. IB 30 requires on straight week of playing to earn the gear. Even when you lose medallions are awarded so you are guaranteed to gain rep in the IB. There is no RNG or guesswork here. Raid 30 takes week after week of playing the raid for RNG to drop what you need. You can play hard and normal, but if you only have one character your limited to two tries per week. In the long run raid 30 takes longer to achieve with many more kills involved. I don't think one is better than the other as both sets have different perks. Again, one is guaranteed and one in RNG. 30 is 30. Let's play,

2 RepliesLol I got the IB boots to reach 30 yet I'm better then 99% of the "legit" lvl 30's I've played with, last group I played with was 5 lvl 30's and they didn't even know how to get through the -blam!-ing gorgon maze.

1 ReplyI've run into plenty of useless 30s in the VoG BEFORE iron banner who got lucky in the normal raid or had their hands held through hard. It's impossible to judge the abilities of a player through their gear alone, although maxed useful weapons is generally a good sign. Bottom line: 30 does not equate to raiding skill, whether they're using IB gear or not.
