after this iron banner, im sure it will get a nerfing ha. Ive been using it alot for this iron banner, 1 because it was a new gun to me and i wanted to rank it up 2 because its the easiest auto rifle to do the head shot challange, and 3 its a beast.
To beat it, find a gun with a faster fire rate with the same impact or better, and be accurate with it, and then when that beats the stuffing out of the suros, it will become the most hated gun on the game, and get a nerfing, its the circle of nerf

I also think it'll be nerfed Tuesday. If nothing else they will fix the focus fire glitch hopefully.
-
thats not a glitch, its a perk, and some people seem to think the gun would be better without that perk, as it would increase the fire rate. A few people buying the gun from xur the second time were considering not ranking up the weapon and have the full fire rate. unless there is a glitch i dont know about?
-
There is a glitch that allows the user to fully upgrade the weapon and still be able to fire at the full original fire rate (sometimes even faster) while aimed down sights. So they basically get the bonus 30% damage per shot from focused fire without the drawback. If the gun isn't leveled to focus fire that's not cheating it's just choosing not to use that perk.
-
i never knew about that glitch, the gun is pretty good without that, but i guess people are looking for any advantage they can find.
-
Exactly I think without the glitch it is an extremely powerful gun but not necessarily op maybe a bit too much range though but the glitch breaks it bad. It reduces its time to kill below any primary or heavy machine gun. That combined with the range basically means you own the map.
-
ok, ive tried to look up the glitch but everyone is quite secretive, hmmm...is it a bug or glitch...im sure my suros acted weird this morning, it seemed faster, i just had a coffee and i though it might of been the caffeine lol, i couldn't pin down what was different, but it seemed fater

Edited by Drking7287: 11/23/2014 4:35:22 AMIt's a glitch specifically in the focused fire perk (which can come on other weapons) that allows one to supersede the fire rate restriction of the perk. You have to actively do something specific or use modded equipment to activate it. So no worries it can't happen by accident. It's been posted in many threads but for the sake of controlling the fire I don't want to say how.

That would help a bit, removing the glitch I mean
-
what is this glitch?
-
I just use cover and pop on and out with my handcannon I'd say it works for me about half the time maybe a Lil more

Edited by boff: 11/23/2014 2:20:16 AMil be honest, ive noticed the suros in the iron banner more by the noise it makes rather than being killed by it, its funny at times, it all i can hear during gun battles. The fact everybody is using it shows in a way its balanced, because everybody is getting to use it, its just that bungie doesnt like everybody using the same gun, and also, its not fun for people who want a bit of variety when playing crucible. Im also liking the hand canons right now, its a shame the thorn was nerfed right before the iron banner, i wanted to use it alot, but the dot reduction kind of took the sting out of the guns effectiveness. the fate bringer doesn't quite cut it, unless you are really good at headshots, its weak on body shots, i havent used the last word yet.

Edited by thtguyericcc: 11/23/2014 2:23:00 AMYea I use Fatebringer and I usually do pretty well and If I don't get those head shots I know that the enemy is close to dead and usually some one on my team will come clean them up I actually have the thorn bounty I'm gnna try and get it since it should be getting a buff soon
-
yeah i would definitely go for that, it a 3 shot kill on the body, 2 for head shot, its a pvp gun, not great at pve, the xyor mission is madness, think i died about 13 times during that stage. its it worth it though, and yeah a buff is due, and the nerf was apparently accidental and will be reversed, its a shame that it came just before the iron banner. make sure you max the thorn out before deciding on weather you like it, i wasnt a fan until i ranked it up to get the poisoned bullets. I didnt really think it needed a buff for pvp, it was really good, but needed something for pve, but its a balance of not making it op for pvp by buffing it for pve
-
Yea I've heard it's pretty lack luster in pve Fate bringer on the other hand Is a jack of all trades That thing never leaves my side I use it in the raid and in pvp Did wonders for me In the nightfall past two weeks plus patience and time or thunderlord
-
Edited by boff: 11/23/2014 2:46:58 AMI also use the fate bringer for pve, its a beast, but not so much for pvp, you will see what i mean when you get the thorn, the thorn is so much better for pvp, because it more forgiving when you miss head shots, the body shots are pretty powerful, and the d.o.t was good, until it got nerfed yes, the fate bringer has owned this nightfall, and for raids, except for atheon stage, then i switch to a auto rifle or hmg
-
At atheon I'll unload a full icebreaker clip then just switch to my hmg till the times vengance is over.. Now if only we had Ghorn...
-
i prefer hmg to rockets, to many rockets to the back of guardians heads or titan bubble lol...and you dont lose to much ammo if the team wipes, 3 wipes on hard mode and the rockets are gone without firing a shot.
