I've been reading about how people are complaining that "t-bagging" is very offensive and how some females are claiming that it is sexual harassment.
No.
You are 100% wrong to think that it is sexual harassment. And you honestly embarrass yourself for thinking so.
Where have you been for the past 15 years? T-bagging is nothing new at all and has been a part of Bungie and the gaming community as a whole for quite a long time.
Like c'mon, Bungie has an avatar on the forums of a spartan t-bagging a dead spartan.
Seriously though people? A virtual character's groin came in contact with your virtual character and you feel that you've been violated?
LOOOOOOOL
Now that you've read that I'm sure you can tell how absolutely stupid and pathetic that sounds. R-A-P-E and physically touching someone in real life can be considered sexual harassment. T-bagging in a video game is not.
And to give a comparison, if t-bagging is considered sexual harassment, then killing someone in the crucible would be second-degree murder, or meleeing someone can be considered assault.
Same exact logic.
However, such things as purposely sending sexual/obscene messages can arguably be taken as sexual harassment. So don't get confused there.
Hate to break your bubble you high and mighty morons.

5 RepliesBringing up the R-word is seriously more offensive than trying to defend your stance on sexual harassment. Please modify your post to remove that word.

Ridiculous. My female characters and I clam-stamp like it's my job if I find you afk somewhere like the tower or a strike with matchmaking. I'm not sexually harassing anyone, and neither is anyone, regardless of gender, who does the same to me. You're right about the private messages though, you can definitely cross a line with those if you're a real douche-bag.

2 RepliesEdited by IshihadoX: 11/17/2014 1:26:18 AMStupid? Yes. Sexual harassment? No. I'm female and a feminist, and I say anyone who claims this is sexual harassment is an idiot. On a side note, r*pe is NOT sexual harassment. It's sexual assault. One is verbal, the other is physical.

1 ReplyAny female who finds tbagging offensive are the same females who believe that when a guy holds a door for a woman,it means the women is weak. Chivalry is dead because feminism killed it.

Its a videogame if your mad about tea bagging you should not play the game. That is like going to a football game and complaining when players tackle eachother.

This is a problem? I an gradually losing hope in the human race. It a -blam!-ing game that people play for fun. People are SOOOO -blam!-ing dumb
-
This is still being debated?! THE PEOPLE WHO ARE OFFENDED BY T-BAGGING ARE MUCH MORE SAD AND PATHETIC THAN THE PEOPLE WHO DO IT! And that's pathetic...
-
I've never heard anyone complain - this post seems like a troll post but I'll point out that -blam!- is not considered sexual harassment, nor is physical touching. -blam!- is -blam!-, or at best sexual assault - as is any unwanted sexual contact. Anyone complaining of t-bagging should be banned themselves.

7 RepliesEdited by ooperz: 11/16/2014 3:52:19 PMActually, Once you get into physical contact that is more sexual assault than harassment. Sexual harassment can be anything as simple and seemingly harmless as a dirty joke. The bottom line is if you do or say something that makes another feel violated, it can be considered sexual harassment. The line of work I'm in requires me to take quarterly training on Sexual Harassment and Sexual Assault prevention. I know in a workplace, sexual harassment is illegal if it's a constant thing. Making an offhand comment once won't get you in too much trouble, but if it's a persistent issue, there can be legal action taken. Now I'm not sure about how this translates to a video game, but I doubt there could be any legal action taken over a CGI person crouching up and standing up repeatedly over a floating blue orb. The only reason I'm posting this is to help clarify that it could be considered sexual harassment, despite how adamant the op is it couldn't, and also to highlight -blam!- is not sexual harassment. That is sexual assault and is a very serious issue that shouldn't be taken lightly the way the op does.

2 RepliesI love the crucible! Even though I get worked most of the time I love giving a taco tap to that bugger that blasted me 80 million times after I finally wipe the smirk off his/hers face. It's just silly and not harassment. I'm not trying to be a dick hope about it, just a spot of fun.

1 ReplyI love getting t-bagged in a game cause that just means I made the other person so mad that the only thing they could do was hump my corpse cause they finally killed me. It's the sign of utmost frustration. If you're getting t-bagged, then you're doing the right thing.

25 RepliesTypical feminists, if you do it to a guy it doesn't matter but if it's a GIRL then it's -blam!- and you should go to jail

7 RepliesEdited by Razor_Grrl: 11/15/2014 8:33:26 PMJust to make people aware, the thread was from a girl who was receiving inappropriate messages and being followed around the tower by guys who were bouncing up and down in front of her crotch until she had to leave. She was asking about a way to report them. It had nothing to do with the crucible or tea bagging after a kill.

1 ReplyLet me start by saying I agree with you however it's not up to you or anyone to decide what offends another person. If someone finds it offensive then its offensive, to them. Is it sexual harassment, in my eyes no, I'm someone else's maybe. There is a fantastic quote that goes like this... "You have the right to be offended, and I have the right to offend you. But no one has the right to never be offended." I feel that people in this day and age look to find thing to be offended by. They love to play the victim. It why people post their entire lives on facebook so complete strangers can feel sorry for them that they didn't get the right coffee at Starbucks.
