Not really, actually. You haven't had vendor rank as a goal, but you've been making progress without even trying. Patrol missions, strikes, crucible, they all help. Focus and it won't take long at all.

Like I mentioned, it took me only two to three hours per day for two days to get my vendor leveled up. I work weekends too, and managed it. Just guesstimating, but it should only take maybe two weeks at most for you for level up your vendor, if you do bounties. I totally understand that some of us can't, or don't, want to pour every second of our busy lives into a game. But leveling up your faction doesn't take long, and it's sooooo worth it! Cracking level 27/29, now, that's an entirely different story.....
