To: Pre-Xur The Last Word Owners
So Xur is selling the Last Word. What of it? Personally, I've owned and loved TLW since week 3/4 of the game and I'm not even displeased in the slightest that I'm no longer a unique snowflake.
If you ever bought something from Xur, you've lost any right to complain. I'm sure you enjoy your Suros/Gjallahorn/Ice Breaker, right? Remember the people complaining about them?
If you're good at using TLW, why should you protest against others buying it? Now PvP will be more challenging... unless you admit you like having an unfair advantage, that is.
Stop complaining , it just shows how much of a hypocrite you are.

As someone who got TLW from the raid a few weeks ago and maxed it out last week..... I really don't give a shit what guns the rest of you use.

I honestly can say I dont think there are any advantages in pvp. You select your weapons that cater to your playstyle and there is always a way to counter someone. Its like a big strategic rock paper scissors match if you ask me.

I had last word fully maxed weeks ago when I got it from the raid, love it...don't have an issue with people buying it at all actually. I think the crybabies should go play something else. It's cryday though, and no lifers have to have something to yell about until the kardashians, or some other stupid emo liberal love everyone tv show comes on.

I have 2 of the last word from 2-3 weeks ago, It's fun but i don't care if Xur sells it now. However i think it need a new name, The Common Word, maybe?

There is no logical difference between getting the weapon as a drop in a nightfall from RNG or earning the coins to buy it..from a vendor whose inventory is RNG (presumably). Its the exact same argument as implementing a token system for raidgear.

I had TLW for a while now and didn't even know it was rare until about a day ago. In fact I haven't used it in weeks and don't understand why people think it's so good.

It just how others look at you. I was always questioned where I got it, which was annoying, but not a problem. Now I get nothing but hate saying I'm worthless because I got it from Xur. I've had it for 2 weeks you loons!

2 RepliesNo one is complaining about the Gjallarhorn, simply because barely anyone had enough strange coins to invest themselves into a Gjallarhorn, and if they did they chose to buy an armor piece.

I'm a pre-Xur owner of The Last Word. This doesn't apply to me as I love Xur and want people to enjoy a fun weapon like TLW. Try to be a bit more specific about who you're addressing in the future. If I'd known it was going to be just another one of these threads I wouldn't have clicked on it.

Even if Xur sell Last Word, people are still use their favorite gun. Like shutgon for the whole match!

I don't understand why people complain about Xur anyway. I've spent at least 250 hours in this game and only gotten two exotics for rewards. The few that get mad about Xur are just the people that RNG blessed.

I got TLW from a crucible match ages ago. It's no big deal, it's fun up close but absolutely garbage at even a medium distance engagement. That's how most exotics are, they have an interesting perk that might make them fun to use, but you can always out-play them with other weapons just like anything else in the game, they're nothing special just fun to use. All it means is you will see a bunch of people using it for a while as they upgrade it, then a little bit longer as they play around with it, then they'll go back to other weapons (especially when they find out how broken the gun is after you get the titular upgrade, completely breaks almost all hip fire precision shots so that they count as body shots instead). Where they got it is a non-issue.
