**Im not referring to the legalities of IP ownership. I'm aware that as an entity of Microsoft 343i has ownership by extension.
Corporate shenanigans / IP legalities aside, the majority of people praising them act as if they created this universe and developed Halo's gameplay. They act as if 343i built Halo from the ground up, which is not the case. They've taken someone else's creation and slapped their name on it, regardless of whether or not Bungie's name is also present, and suddenly became a 'great' developer for no legitimate reason.
Think about it, for all those people (now) praising 343i for releasing it, it took them essentially plagiarizing Bungie to receive your approval.
For those saying 343i is comprised of ex Bungie employees, I've highlighted the name of known employees at 343i that worked at Bungie, which is damn near nothing other than artists and a former community manager:

It's not plagiarism, they aren't taking credit for Bungies work. If stupid people want to give them credit then that's not the fault of 343i. We all know who built Halo and all its glory.
-
I'd say otherwise, but whatever you say ma'am.
-
Still not plagiarism though.
-
Plagiarism: the act of using another person's words or ideas without giving credit to that person : the act of plagiarizing something Plagiarise: to use the words or ideas of another person as if they were your own words or ideas OP doesn't know how to use words properly.
-
I like 343i because they give us what we ask for. Bungie has taken on this we know what you like and how you want to play it so just do what we want you'll like it

Edited by ROBERTO jh: 11/14/2014 11:25:14 PMI haven't seen a single person praising them for creating the MCC. I have however seen people praising them for the hard work of putting all of the games together, remastering them, the multiplayer and so on. People know this is bungies contribution as well. But 343i delivered on can requests. That needs to be commended. Besides Bungie has their logo on it anyway.

5 RepliesEdited by Madman Mordo: 11/14/2014 12:57:42 AMI'm not sure you understand what plagiarising means. An actual case of plagiarisation would be 343 copying Destiny and re-branding it "Destiny Anniversary" or something. Considering 343 has legal and exclusive access to the copyrighted material of the Halo franchise (as granted by Microsoft) they're not "plagiarising" anything. As far as anyone is concerned, all they're doing is refining THEIR games. You guys are really getting desperate for things to moan at 343 for. It's pretty pathetic.
-
>looks at back of game case >sees Bungie logo >hmmm
-
More like an integrated quote

i cri evrytiem

1 ReplyIt was -blam!-ing fan service and they bought the rights to halo
-
2 RepliesOkay, but I'm praising h2a forge, which certain affinity hired hands by 343 did, Not halo 3 or ce. Halo 4 was cool for a few months.
-
3 RepliesOp must not realize that 343 is composed of a bunch of ex bungie employees. Op doesn't even understand that the lead guy at 343 was one of the master minds that created halo. Op is a tard.
-
lol you don't know what plagiarism is. Its a -blam!-ing remaster.

2 RepliesEdited by Rukus: 11/14/2014 8:26:10 AMMCC had people like...

3 RepliesThis is basically; Bungie: *Gives 343 cold leftovers* 343: "Oh sweet, thanks." 343: *Goes to microwave it* Random irrelevant person: "YOU CAN'T MICROWAVE THAT IT WASN'T ALWAYS YOURS!"
-
This post is utterly retarded. And I don't use that word lightly.
-
343i has the copyrights, so they are able to redistribute the halo games any way they like
-
How are you going to put the definition of a word then not know how to apply it? That's dumb, reeeaaal dumb!
-
No, it would be if they scrubbed Bungie's name off everything, but they didn't.
-
1 ReplyYeah, I guess it is. Other than the fact it isn't technically stolen but I won't go into detail about stuff which is really small and hard to explain.
-
2 RepliesCredit where credit is due, Bungie's logo is right there next to 343i's on the cover.
-
For your information, microsoft, which owns the rights to all halo products, handed 343 the rights.
-
They were advertising this as a collection of remastered Halo games, not a collection of remastered 343 games. Plus there's a Bungie logo on the cover, so they hardly took full credit for the game.
-
11 RepliesHalo is Microsoft's property not Bungie's. Bungie only made the games. Then 343i took it after Bungie left.
