1. Bungie seems to be making adjustments to accommodate the PvP players at the expense of the PvE experience
2. Most PvP players will jump to the next big shooter when it is released.
3. Many PvE type players come from the RPG side of the world and commit longer term to games.
With those points understood as accurate why essentially does Bungie continue to adjust the game from the PvP first perspective? Changes made are good for PvP but the PvE world just took a hit.
I just do not understand why the game continues to evolve with the interests of the short term player base in mind. I'm sorry but when CoD comes out a good percentage of the Destiny Crucible Fan Club will have no trouble finding the door.

PVP is shite, saying that I have spent 12 hours on it never had ANY legendary or exotic engrams tho.I play battlefield 4 if I want PVP this games all about the coop
-
4 RepliesI agree. The PvP kids aren't going to be the ones left after the next shooter comes out. The PvE and RPG players will be left to play this game afterward.

Bump... Here is a link to one of the largest topics on this issue. It has a poll as well on it.. http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/72904216/0/0

Totally agree you found words i couldnt

ARs, shot guns, and the end game exotic are now worthless against the darkness. Is this some kind of awful unfun heroic modifier bungie?
-
Agreed 100%. Look how many posts on this topic and no official response from bungie.
-
Most adjustments are PvP focused because the AI don't bitch about balance and OP weapons.
-
1 ReplyBecause the PvE is so lacking in content it won't carry the game. They have to keep PvP happy because that is going to be their justification for the cost of these laggy servers.
-
We have to hope the COD waiters will leave and bungie will finally listen to US the community not these freaking COD I can't wait or what other game waiters want.

2 RepliesEdited by wrath0ftheg0ds: 10/15/2014 11:26:30 PMHey guys I don't know how you feel about the new hot fix, but there is a forum started by NEWBIE in the Spears of Destiny group that has started a huge discussion. We are kinda trying to make this a big deal because we don't agree with some of the new changes. I you have any opinions or ideas you'd like to share please come comment on it. We know there needs to be changes with the vex mythoclast in PvP but we feel like we did all this hard work just to have bungie screw our reward over. Please come comment and help us make a difference. All we want is to help bungie in continuing to make this game better than it already is.

1 ReplyThe pvpers have the louder voice, if more people commented how much they thought a certain thing was balanced (in terms of pve) then both sides would be more easily heard
-
Because that is all they can do. PvP has balance issues, which can be fixed relatively easily. PvE lacks content, which they cant/wont do a thing about. So they fix what they can fix, hoping to build a PvP community when the PvE part dies. And the impact on PvE? I dont get the impression that they do that kind of long-term planning, we would be having a different game if they did.
-
3 RepliesHow did PvE take a big hit? That's just tears flowing. I do just fine with my scout rifles, pulse rifles, sniper rifles, fusion rifles, and rocket launchers of varying elements. Step your aim up and you shouldn't have a problem in PvE. If not then like JT said You Can Go On And Just, Cry Me A Riveeer! Cry Meee, Cry Meeee!!!

Edited by Cody: 10/15/2014 6:52:28 AMIt's not that Bungie is focusing on PvP more than PvE necessarily. It's just that they have to keep PvP in mind while make adjustments to PvE. For example, I always thought the Warlock's vortex grenades should slow anyone that's caught in range, but if you did that in the crucible, the Warlock would take a nice golden dump on the chests of all their foes. Especially so for the Sun Bros.

2 Repliesin any game, with competitive modes, you will find the pvpers are the loudest forum posters. it is the way of things. sadly bungie isnt taking the smart approach by making these sort of changes effect those modes only, that's the problem here.
-
Because thinks it's still the 1990's and didn't had the foresight to use two Rulesets to solve the PvE/PvP balancing ussues
-
Because the pve is kinda easy and doesn't need balance tweaks.
-
1 ReplyBecause it's much, much easier to track the imbalances. Data are harder to collect in a useful manner in PvE. Also, PvP people tend to be a bit more... Ah... Vocal.
-
Because ncp can't whine as loudly.
-
Well an example of why the patch helped me is that all my friends got the auto rifle from the raid while I got the scout. I was forced to use it because of its Oracle killing upgrade but it was clearly inferior to the auto rifle with that ability. Scouts were basically useless and now it's a little more even. I do think that instead of nerfing the assault rifles they should have only upgraded the scout rifles but still made it more equal
-
PvP is well not that great, and they are panicking by nerfing every hard earned weapon because some sad losers can't play PvP. Since the story is essentially non-existent and just DLC staging thats all they have left from what many have seen.
-
Agreed and bungie most likely knows aswell but some fat tub of lard up top is telling them the final word of if something is a go or not. Feel bad for the workers at bungie who try just to have the fat bastard in charge screw them for a bigger check
-
I agree with everything said here, and I hope that bungie comes to realize what they are doing to their game…
-
Edited by spexX: 10/15/2014 12:28:34 AMwell after you get to level 30 and have most of the exotics and all the legendary gear the only thing that's left is PVP...
-
Its easier to see unbalances in PvP. But i agree PvP should not be the main focus but neither should PvE. They need to split these groups up. Also im a COD fanboy and Love Destiny, and there are a good amount of people that will jump ship come November but i would not be one.
