The culmination of nearly a year's work in my honours degree showed that Google Chrome outperformed every other major browser in Javascript web applications and non-JS web apps. So among other reasons, I believe my choice is more than justified.

I can only speak for myself when I say it depends on why you might be interested in using it. In addition to the reason above, I also use it to tie-in with my Google account and services (ie. Chrome history and bookmarks sync across my desktop, workstations, laptop, and Android devices).
