I tend not to listen to scary stories.
It kinda seem like fear mongering and exaggeration to me, so I'll be skeptical for now.

So the fact that dozens if species are being declared extinct or so little in number (IE a few dozen) that they will go extinct is 'fear mongering'

Ignoring the obvious fact that there are species arriving and going extinct that we don't even know about.

No. Treating it like fact is. Models for predicting global warming/extinction have been wrong before. I said I'm skeptical-- doesn't mean we should just dump pollution everywhere. Or go out hunting rare, exotic animals. I'll just stand back and watch and see what happens.

Scepticism is fine, but in the face of six distinct sources? It's not a case of esoteric knowledge that the environment is having some trouble at the moment.
