Why does this piss me off so much?
I have nothing against Autism or Autism Awareness, I never use Autism as an insult (It doesn't really even make sense as an insult). But how come whenever I see images like this my blood just boils? I have absolutely no idea why but it makes me so angry I could punch a kitten and I love kittens.
Does anyone else have this problem?

It makes people out to be more than they are and i don't like that. People are people. Autists aren't 'special', they are exactly the same as every other person; they just need more help than the average. Same with all 'disabled' or 'mentally abnormal' people. If you want to claim that children with cancer or severe autism are little miracles because they painted a picture of a tractor with their fingers then you can do that, but ANY child who does that is equally as miraculous. That's not me being a Debbie Downer, if anything it should be me being the exact opposite.

Maybe it's because people are taking a problem that some people have and are trying to invent non existent positives to such disabilities to perhaps make those affected feel better, as if they were children or something?
