Halo 3 was best for competitive players and custom games, Reach was a more casual game but it still had good custom games too. Halo 4 tried to bring in both the casual and competitive crowds and wanted to try something different, unluckily this did not work well, though to be fair playing it every once in a while can still be fun, sometimes. I would say there is no real better game from 3 or lolreach, but almost everyone can agree that halo 4 is the lowest quality halo of the franchise.
PS: Halo 3:ODST was the campaign in the story

I know but Reach has the same as H3 but way more.

As I said, it is my opinion, I had more fun playing halo 3 customs and thats it.
