I hate how my rival isn't a total douchebag. One of the biggest motivations of the first 2 gens was to take down your rival who always seemed one step ahead of you. Now it's just all like 'Oh, I guess you won! :))))) '

IKR! I kinda liked the 4th gen rival because meh.. but then it just went to far in 5th and 6th gen.
