vanguard
People have been wondering what the vanguard is. I believe that the vanguard are you, the guardian. I believe this for multiple reasons. First being the fact that on the back of the vanguard shirt is the fotc, fotc means forces of the city so it only makes sense for those two to go together. Also on Bungie.net it says waiting reports from the vanguard. This can only mean they were waiting for guardians to reliever information. Also, during the public event, the vanguard symbol appeared which means that guardians could participate. Lastly, the definition of vanguard fits perfectly with this hypothesis. Bungie day or now Bungie week is coming up soon so I am sure we will get the truth soon. What do you think the vanguard is???

I bet the vanguard are those who have reached the max level (if there is one) in the game. either that, or they are bungie employees roaming the game.

What if these guys are the Vanguards? They sit outside the wall of the last city and schedule the public events.... They scout out and target enemies trying to invade and send a beacon to surrounding guardians that the invasion is imminent. I know it might seem lame, but imagine it in a next gen way... And what I mean by that... I don't really know.... Maybe you guys have something to add

I think the Vanguard is a higher level of guardian, maybe there are others.

Check out halo 4 there is an armor called vanguard just pointing it out :)

1 ReplyI agree, it's probably a state of being for a guardian, so when they are exploring and discovering they are a vanguard, and when they are defending the city they are a guardian.

a group of guardian with some crazy equipment (like in Ghost Recon...)
