Do you have a shit father? It's probably a good thing you don't want children. I can see you being a shit father.
-
No, I feel very fortunate that I have the father I have.
-
Questionable.
-
I'm with you on that. 21 and never want kids.
-
I know right? Ridiculous notion.
-
How come?
-
I'm an anti-natalist, and kids are the worst.
-
Babies are the worst and they're -blam!-ing useless I'm thinking to myself how come we're the best species but we have the worst infants?
-
I feel like the pleasure brought on by raising kids vastly outweighs the pain of it.

Says the guy who has probably never been pregnant. I, for one, would seriously contemplate suicide upon realizing I had conceived a child. And I'd probably complete the effort if it so happened that she was pro-life.
-
I meant mental pain, mostly. I wasn't referring to pregnancy. I have a nephew, and he's an amazing little baby. Yes he's tough to handle at times (all babies are) but seeing him interact with the world makes it totally worth it.

Edited by Verbatim: 6/7/2013 7:05:28 PMI'm talking about ALL suffering. ALL of it. And how is that worth it. I consider that borderline masochism. So, either say you're a masochist, or explain this silver lining to me. I can't see it.

Edited by defenderofgo: 6/7/2013 7:30:49 PMPerhaps you don't value life as much as the next guy. I also don't see how my post could have possibly implied masochism.
