That's probably a factor in determining whether you'll be in poverty or not, but the three main factors are: health, parental economic class, and quality of schooling (closely related to parental economic class).

The work they've done on this subject shows that the effect of an individual's (parents') socioeconomic status on their educational ability may be primarily, if not wholly, due to this effect. This is also, obviously, very closely related to the quality of schooling an individual can receive.
