A fantastic development.
It is very amusing how all the deficit hawks will complain about a small investment into important scientific research but remain silent about the egregious amount of money the government spends on defense.

Uh. . . most people complaining about the deficit target the defense budget first and foremost.

You'd be surprised how many people would rather cut everything except defense.
