I think they should have done it BF4 style and just released 17 minutes of glorious 1080p gameplay.

That was a great idea but it wouldn't be smart for Bungie to do that for Destiny because BF4 comes out in the fall & Destiny is being released next year.

Why wouldn't it be smart? It's just gameplay. I think it would have been better this way because then the community could get together and actually talk about the game rather than just speculate. This way we could give feedback in some way.

Ya but if between then and launch they release more gameplay people will say they saw it already. People lose interest over time and will need an occasional reminder which is what the makers of Watch Dogs had to do because they released gameplay at E3 2012.
