Personally i understand why they went the direction the did, slow zeds wouldn't translate well, and having it follow a single character as he experiences the pandemic around the world is easier than setting up different story archs and experiences, it just translates better in terms of coherence. I still would have preferred they way it was presented in the book, but knowing the difficulty in doing so, im happy with whats happening here.

I was disregarding the book, there's not really any point in comparing them. It's just that it still looks meh to me :/
