Actually it won't. Give him a 10% raise it only contributes say $100,000 to the bottom line. Give everyone in the company a 10% raise it would be much more (in a company that size). Now which one should happen? I'd rather see the employees get the raise. In theory though you need that huge salary to get a good CEO (then they may end up being a bad one). If they do end up being good, then the company and employees (should) benefit. If they suck, the entire company may go under. So it may make sense to pay the big bucks if you really think it will attract a great CEO. (Yahoo getting Marissa Meyer for example [u][b]may[/b][/u] end up being a really good move)
