Has it ever happened to you?: Bed shaking on its own, seeing things, things moving, etc.

I was wondering if anyone on the flood has experienced any of these same things or something that is similar. Many of them have happened to me but usually only at night. So flood, has it ever happened to you?

  • What your parents told you is what's really going on "It's all in your head." Humans love to receive unfamiliar or vague instances and personify them in an attempt to evoke familiarity, which is why simple breezes can be misinterpreted as "voices," and small corners of low light can appear to be "shadow figures." Also, as for things tipping over, while this doesn't account for all instances of things falling by themselves, magnitude three or under Earthquakes can are virtually undetectable by people, but can still cause such things to happen. The mind is wonderful at deceiving the body it's in.

  • All the time when I was younger. I haven't had it happen for a long time, though.

    • I was sleeping one night, when my legs felt funny, as if something furry was rubbing up against them (we didn't have any pets at this time) I didnt really know what the feeling was and I couldnt move, but I somehow got convinced that is was a cat that snuk in the house. Then I could feel it moving, adjusting postitions etc. even breathing and making noises like i would assume a cat would feel like. I slowly got out of bed, turned on the light and saw there was no cat. I then realized the feeling of a 'cat' rubbing on my leg didn't go away, and as i slowly became fully awakened, it became clear that my leg was just asleep, my brain not being able to percieve what the sensation really was, had fabricated the hallucination of a cat purring and pawing at me. Seeing is not believing, the brain is very easily fooled, it is not only possible but common to experience things that don't really exist, particularly memory.

      • had the same shit happen, creepy stuff. Also, doors unlocking and opening right in front of my family's eyes, Things being moved around, being completely unable to go upstairs to the second floor no matter how hard I tried... something was stopping me from going upstairs at all, I literally couldn't walk forward and my family couldn't either. I got the -blam!- out of there before the damned thing that was doing it got too violent.

Also, I caught some strange noises on camera once. (enhanced sound)

                    • Not seeing things, but I usually hear this eerie high pitched sound that sounds like it's coming from above my head, and so clear that I have to cover my ears to get to sleep. Also, a few birds live in the vent in my room, so they can usually be a pain in the ass but thats usually in the mornings. Long ago though, I heard a very clear whisper beside my head while I was in my bed. When I told my brother, he said he heard the exact same thing, coming from beside him. One of the scariest moments of my life that was.
