So I guess the liberals are going to generalize every republican now. How surprising.

Why are you so presumptuous. If you don't want to be called a dick, as you say, then you probably shouldn't be so antagonistic to begin with.
-
If you didn't bother to notice/read, it says GOP member in the title, not GOP. But please, continue to feel persecuted. The GOP continues the reign of "party of stupid", and this is one of the reasons why. These guys who make these dumb laws deserve criticism.
-
Irrelevant. They will generalize the party regardless.
-
Edited by Quantum: 1/25/2013 4:45:00 AMWhen you side with a party that is full of supporters who are: -Anti Abortionists -Anti LGBT Marriage -Anti Cooperation -Supporting the Tea Party -Rejecting a number of scientific theories -Knee jerk reaction to foreign policy A generalization is unavoidable. But you on the other hand just generalized an entire side of world politics (the left, and in a different post), so please, cry some more, because you too are generalizing.
-
You're trying to dehumanized us. Abortion is bad. And nobody is anti gay, we just don't want to condone it. What's bad about that? Also, republicans find science programs more than democrats.
-
Abortion is bad.
So is forcing a person to carry a baby to term and raise it when they don't want it.
And nobody is anti gay, we just don't want to condone it. What's bad about that?
So don't condone it. But you're denying rights and benefits to gay couples with anti-gay marriage laws.
Also, republicans find science programs more than democrats.
Romney wanted to cut funding to PBS, thinking that tiny drop of money is going to make a difference in the budget. And how about that Todd Atkin, a member of the US Science Committee.
-
Romney wanted to cut funding to PBS, thinking that tiny drop of money is going to make a difference in the budget.
This is terribly misquoted. He said that he would cut funding to PBS (which would do fine with out it) if funding it came at the cost of borrowing money to fund it. And if you can't agree on cutting even a small thing that could survive on its own, how would you go about cutting anything else to even make a difference in the budget?
-
Edited by Quantum: 1/25/2013 4:53:49 AMI don't think you understand the what the word "dehumanize" means. I am pointing out the faults of the GOP. -No, it isn't bad. It's a right now, deal with it. Are you 100% against abortion, or are you going to allow special cases to get it? Answer this question. -We by who? I see a large amount of people saying "marriage is between 1 man and 1 women". That is anti-LGBT rights by definition. -Depends on what type of science program. Even if the overall budget is higher, GOP laws have stopped scientific research usually whenever religion is involved, namely stem cells, and have also created a massive bullshit storm around evolution. They've damaged science's image more so that Democrats giving less funding.
-
I'll allow abortion in special cases. And nope. We just don't condone gay behavior. If they don't do it in public, get married, adopt, have those parades (which are annoying and get them nowhere), and force their lifestyle on people, then we don't care.
-
Haha, you are the one forcing lifestyles on people, by denying them the ability to marry. Look in a mirror.
-
We just want to preserve our culture that the left seems to want to destroy.
-
Edited by Quantum: 1/25/2013 5:06:58 AMHaha, your culture. You mean the same (literally defined) conservative culture that once supported slavery, denied black people rights, and now is back again with the gay rights debate? When gays finally have the ability to marry, it will be known as one of the biggest victories in human rights. People in the future will look down on people like you. You will be on the wrong side of history.
-
Well besides the black suppression part, our culture was golden. We were in a golden age of American. We were beating every economically and military wise. We were influential, then the garbage hippy trash liberals ruined everything in the 60's and it has gone down ever since. And that's a fact.
-
Edited by Quantum: 1/25/2013 5:17:21 AMNo, you weren't. Women weren't equal, gays weren't equal. Economically, you had no competition because Europe blew itself up in WW2, not necessarily because the US was super strong (minus WW2, where FDR's New Deal, along with a major increase in spending ended the Great Depression). Military wise, you spent a shit load, and had no major strategic successes from the 50-80s, that's before the US had major victories against the East, especially in South America. Also, I don't think you understand the concept of fact vs opinion.

And that's a fact.
There's that hypocrisy you've been staring at for a while now and haven't seen. "Woe is me! Liberals are generalizing Conservatives! Lemme generalize Liberals."
And nope. We just don't condone gay behavior. If they don't do it in public, get married, adopt, have those parades (which are annoying and get them nowhere), and force their lifestyle on people, then we don't care.
You do care. And you've been actively trying to stop them from marrying. DOMA, Prop 8 in California, hell being against any of the gay marriage laws that have passed, banning gay marriage laws in what states you can...

If they don't do it in public, get married, adopt, have those parades (which are annoying and get them nowhere), and force their lifestyle on people, then we don't care.
What's wrong with those things? Zero of those things affect you at all. Why don't you want them to be equal to you?
-
And nobody is anti gay, we just don't want to condone it. What's bad about that?
What's bad about that? You want to treat certain people as second-class citizens and deny them rights based on something as trivial as who they're attracted to.
-
It's common knowledge that the GOP isn't in favor of abortion.
-
Edited by Dredd: 1/25/2013 4:31:32 AMYet we aren't in favor of a woman keeping a baby from sexual assault. Even Romney was against it. But the left labelled him a woman hater and people ate that up.
-
Because if you want to deny the woman her right to choose, you should be criticized for it.
-
Edited by Dredd: 1/25/2013 4:37:47 AMRight, because irresponsible and selfish people should be able to terminate a developing human every chance they get. That's what wrong with the left. It's all about me me me. Take from the rich and give to me. Let me get free healthcare. Let people pay for my birth control. Etc.
-
Edited by Quantum: 1/25/2013 4:41:38 AMHaha, me me me. The Left caters for the majority of Americans, not me me me. It's not selfish to have the right to choose to have a baby. But since Republicans like you support or create bills regulating women's genitals, you are the truly selfish ones. You do realize that the female body commonly aborts embryos naturally? Are you going to charge these women on felony as well? Dumb abortion law is dumb. This type of thinking should have died.
-
If you don't like it, then make a separate country.
-
Y'know, you're right. It is the "me me me" that is the problem in this country...except it's not coming from the Left. It's coming from Republicans who want it their way and aren't willing to compromise.
-
We don't negotiate with people who don't want to support themselves.
