Howdy,
I am in a bit of a predicament, I recently bought the year of prophesy edition on Steam to get renegades and edge of fate. I previously played on Xbox. However, when I downloaded and opened the game, it prompted the Cross Save and I realized my account is linked with my Dad's bungie account, which is also linked to his Xbox account. I'm guessing that happened in 2019 when D2 moved from battlenet to steam? (honestly I have no recollection as to why I did this).
I would like to unlink my steam account from his Bungie.net, and link it to my Bungie.net. From his POV on the cross save setup page under my steam account, it says "This Steam account does not have any characters" and then for his Xbox account it lists his 3 characters. There is no PlayStation or epic games linked. I can't seem, to figure out how to disable cross save, or unlink a specific account, and if I do this, will his destiny characters be in jeopardy? He does not own a pc or steam account, and only plays on Xbox. My main concern is somehow messing up his characters which he has had since D1 launch.
Important note: My account does have cross save already enabled, his account does not.
I also spent real money on these expansions, but I cant really use them until my steam account is freed. I moved across the country a while back, and this game has been a great way to keep up with my Dad. I would appreciate any advice, or how to contact bungie about potentially helping with this.
