1 ReplyThis has been my exact experience this and last trials weekend. Something cooked is going on with matchmaking and it feels awful trying to get even one win when it’s putting the two most powerful players on the same team in almost every match. I think whatever algorithm is balancing teams is placing too much emphasis on your performance in objective based modes, so if you capture zones and try to be a team player, it values that on the same level as very high K/D players. Meanwhile, it also thinks you can carry a very inexperienced player against both of them and not have the match be anything other than a 5-0 flogging. No one learns anything that might help them improve in those situations and it’s just going to end up making a lot of people quit playing Trials. If it feels rigged against you having a chance, why bother?

I’m sick of carrying every 3v3 game I play.

You must have a k/d above 1.0, Bungie hates those players and actively punishes them.

2 RepliesEdited by Stari: 6/3/2025 12:18:28 PMMostly it's not a skill problem, but connection problem. Often 1 team/ player gets the connection and most kills. While the other 2 players don't even know what's happening, because they are a second behind. Sometimes the rolls turn 180 degrees in one match. Example: In Trials i didn't stand a chance in a gunfight for 3 rounds. Then suddenly like the enemy team became the bigest noobs ever and I start whiping their whole team. Probably host was changed in de mid game. Those are known peer-2-peer problems.

8 RepliesEdited by Part Timer: 6/3/2025 5:53:56 AMHonestly... at this point I'd settle for connections that aren't dogshit, let alone competent teammates. I'm tired of dying when I'm fair and clearly behind a -blam!- wall.

Was it the majority of your matches that you got carried to a win by better players or the majority of your losses with you comfortably sitting at the bottom? And don't even get me started on the matches where you had 1 or no kills or how you also rage quit too. Seems like the only joke here is how you think no one can see your match history and find out how you appear to be the "new light" in almost every match. Now you'll probably cry about this reply just like you did on that other post because you didn't like me saying how people should pay for the paid content by working a job instead of getting things handed out for free.
