At least you got into a game by the sounds of it. I "played" 2 matches ALL WEEKEND. This is because I simply couldn't get a game at peak times. Returned to orbit 3 times when "searching for Guardians" was enough time wasting. BTW this took up the best part of an hour!
Here's the kicker - the two games I managed was firstly 5v5 en route to location. Then when I spawned, I was the ONLY player making it 5 v 1🤣🤣🤣 this was Solitude I believe.
The second match was a proper 5 v 5 but with 30 seconds remaining. Ohhhh what a feeling....🤣🤣🤣

It really does show how thin the concurrent playerbase is when any little event pops up, even iron banner, & the rest of the game struggles to matchmake. I do new accounts every 3-4 months to pass time & I've always been able to play anything & find players but since id say midway thru the lightfall year it's becoming harder to just play anything outside of core, even trying the previous season is near impossible & it never used to be. I think we now have a playerbase of veterans who do everything straight away & then never go back & new players coming thru just find each other, but seasonal stuff is much more difficult these days since lightfall so they simply can't complete it & give up. Games on its last legs, the current playerbase can't support it enough & new blood is turned away

What's wild is that there seems to be more activity in D1 .... I'm currently playing it and having a hoot 🤣

There's just not many servers for D1 so it appears full, it's also instanced & more regional so areas are given servers when needed. I'd go back in a heartbeat if it was 60fps &/or higher field of view. I accidentally played D2 once at 70 fov & it felt like i was walking in mud lol.
