needs uniform spread like every shotgun frame has. Could also use a few generic tweaks and maybe tack a perk or two on (like condense the barrel options into one, add a mag option, and give it something fun or meta as a perk on the base version)

I'd honestly say rework it from the ground up, let ads be a tight spread with long range (still keeping in line with the fact its a 360) and hip fire being the "shotgun" with wider spread but less range, keep the dmg buff on kills but let it have 3 or 4 catalysts to choose from, barrel constricter, onslaught, gutshot straight, or kinetic tremors, hell make it the intro exotic to crafting assuming we get craftable weapons in frontiers

ehh, idk about all that. At that point it gets kinda weird, because then every exotic needs to be craftable (which takes a ton of resources to do), and if not, then why is a random world drop exotic getting this kind of treatment and no others? We've seen how a few minor tweaks to exotics can either make them extremely powerful, or completely destroy their usability. So, a few minor changes, such as a range bump and distinct projectile spread alone, could make Cerb the best auto we've ever seen. I'm not much opposed to a rework, so long as it keeps the essence of the original weapon. But, either way, good luck getting current day Bungie to do anything productive in terms of improving anything in their game, without at least 5 years elapsed

I say that with its identity in mind, even in the lore tab it's a gun put together from ship scraps and the guardian who built it is hoping it works. If the tutorial area is still the cosmodrome it fits pretty well being your first "craftable" exotic that's not too much stronger than the others but enough to showcase the power difference between exotics and legendaries. I don't expect bungie to do anything big with these older exotics that fell behind hard, but with how they've touched up queensbreaker and whisper of the worm, it's got me a bit hopeful
