This is also true. These grenades are kinda situational at times, and some are more heavily skewed towards pvp or pve.
It lowk sucks in PvE too. Spike grenades have always had a reputation for being awful and entirely situational.
They're really only good for sticking to large enemies with large hit boxes to help do lots of damage quickly. The Hailfire Spike's slow is nice in pve but then causes it to take too long to do significant damage in pvp because all the damage is packed into the solar side of the grenade. Getting them to stick to a surface properly so they'll kill stuff when triggered is also annoying as crap and requires skill. Otherwise, it's an easily avoidable hazard in pvp.
Meanwhile, the warlock grenade is almost completely pve driven. In pvp, it just doesn't put out much damage to be truly threatening and is easy for a player to escape.
I feel like the Titan grenade is the only one that finds an okay-ish balance between pvp and pve.
The Hunter Spike requires a stick or a proper angle for it to be effective. While it is possible, throwing a freezing/suppressing or a jolting/suspending grenade is miles better than scorching/freezing.
The warlock also has viability in PvP because its basically a better vortex grenade, which has had viability since D1.
Titan grenade is incredible in both.
This is also very true. Stasis slow isn't anywhere near as debilitating in pvp as freeze or suspend is.
The warlock grenade basically makes the duskfield how it used to be. Duskfields used to be able to pull in targets but was then nerfed and then had the pulling functionality removed.
