Iron Banner Matchmaking
Glad to see iron banner matchmaking is still a shitshow. I love joining ongoing games where we are at 19 and the other team is at 60. Or just get stomped because my team cannot fathom to capture a flag.

2 RepliesIt's swingy - I hate PvP but the majority of my games have been close call wins, with a few losses including a couple of mercies. Played a game last night where we were absolutely getting wiped for the first half, trailing 50 points only to come back and win it by 3 points. if it were truly 'unbalanced', that wouldn't have been possible. It's going to be a mixed bag thanks to the cheats, sweats and players who very clearly misunderstood the assignment, but on the whole it feels better than the usual Bungo PvP experience

So far I have played 19 matches for 7 wins and 12 defeats. In most matches, in the first few minutes you can tell whether you will win or have another defeat. Still better than one of my "warmup matches" the day before, (you know, just to make sure that I am still crap). I had one match where my team had total kills = 23 vs opposition team total kills = 171. NOT FUN. Also, whats with the armor drop rates. 19 matches for 1 x head piece and 1 x class item. Seems low. Anyway, have fun folks, and again sorry if I am on your team. Update after day 2 iron banner: now 34 games played 1 x head armor, 1 x chest armor, 1 x class item 15 games for 4 losses and 11 wins Did the game reassess how crap I am at pvp and put me with better players???

1 ReplyFirst game tonight had a cheater on the opposing team. Perfect shots, no flinch and require team shooting to take down. Bungie is -blam!-. Loves their cheaters.

2 RepliesYeah bro, IB is heavy with the sweats. I'm mid at best, and I enjoy myself in the game. But yeah winning and losing isn't all up to the player anymore. Population is entirely too small to have any sort or parody. Good luck getting the sidearm, fellow guardians.

I joined into a match that was 13-76… yeah guess where they put me. Destiny 2 matchmaking has a hole is -blam!- ridiculous.

90% of IB matches: Is the other team good? Welp, your team mates are terrible so I hope you've got somethin to bite down on cause this is gonna hurt. Is the other team reasonably skilled so there's potential for a fun game? Welp, your team is a pack of iron lords so enjoy the enemies all being killed off spawn and barely seeing anyone to fight till it mercies in 3 minutes.

What makes it even worse is the dumb -blam!- es that don’t even care to play, at all. Running around all stupid-like.

Yeah I got the side arm and got out. But think it’s because the PvP numbers are getting low. Hopefully bungie soon sees that there neglecting the core player experience was a mistake lucky the invested into 5 other projects

8 RepliesEdited by Kuzie: 11/27/2024 2:00:54 PMHe's got nothing to do with the matchmaking system currently itself..it's Bungie letting these players in at all if they can't reach a basic prerequisite requirement they shouldn't be in PvP full stop. it's all to do with the sheer number of mentally deficient people that can't play PVP to begin with and won't take the time to learn. That go into the iron banner and play control like its team deathmatch (6s) with absolutely terrible loadouts, god awful movement and zero map awareness. Then complain non-stop about getting merced Bungie pandaed to them once again...and always will IB is not exception to this.. You don't need to be a top tire PvP player to win a match or matches..the hint is in the mode: "control" they won't learn because Bungie wants bums on seats not a lasting game mode.. PvP is now and will stay a dumpster fire Get ya rewards and get out...I'm sorry to say.

Yesterday I was about to say that Clash seems to be working pretty well but then I decided that probably didn't needed be posted. Especially after experiencing IB.
