    I have checked that article but as there isn't a direct mention to VPN's I couldn't be sure. The main doubt I have is that, usually VPNs slow the connection. As Destiny doesn't have a dedicated server, player connection directly affect others in the same lobby / team. If due to high population, the performance of the VPN drops there is an inherent risk to make other players' game slower. Intentional or otherwise. And we know how unforgiving Bungie is on these matters. I didn't want to take that risk before getting an answer from the Bungie Team.

  • Thanks for the detailed answer. I didn't have any hopes for a feedback from the security team itself. They're already spread thin after the layoffs unfortunately. However sometimes Bungie's firstline support users are roaming the forums. I wrote this in case they'd make a comment.
