I've been playing Destiny 2 for 2 years. I haven't touched pvp, I don't like this mode in games and let's face it, I'm a bad pvp player. That's why my frustration reaches its peak when I'm forced to do pvp to obtain or unlock catalysts for certain weapons, etc. I'm dying faster than I can blink, I can't get more than 6-7 kills in one game. I feel like my character is made of paper, even though I follow various guides. This is a waste of time and a lot of nerves for me, which I cannot afford. And I love the game itself and I would like to have fun from it, not frustration.

Got to lfg, find a good kd carry, and get some kills for the catalyst.

Edited by EMUracing: 5/21/2024 5:20:54 PMIf you thoroughly do not enjoy it, then dont play it. If you do want to work towards improving, I recommend starting with playing your life and squirming to stay alive and regroup with teammates over trying to get kills. Just be there to help, but try not to commit too much into chasing a kill. Improving at PvP does help improve PvE skills, as you deal with realtime risk assessment, cover and positioning with enemies which are more challenging than the PvE AI. These players will chase, charge and rush you when you are weak. You have to think of an escape plan before starting any engagement, as well as calculate the numbers of your teammates vs enemies, and their positioning. In PvE, the enemy mechanics are very limiting. The most advanced mechanics are with the Tormentors who will rush you behind cover, but have tells for what attack they are going to use. This week will be Mayhem on the rotator, not an ideal weapon farming rotator. The best for catalyst farming is Momentum, since TTK is much lower. If you are not familiar with PvP in the slightest, the biggest handicap comes from not knowing the map layouts. The new map rotator has 3 maps, 3v3 and many players still dont know all of the details of the maps. Because it is 3v3, it means that it is a little less chaotic, but each players performance can be more meaningful. It is all about angles, what angles you reveal yourself to and what angles you cut off with how you position your character around the available cover. Not knowing the maps means that you dont know what angles there are at all, while most players have played on some of these maps since vanilla D2 or even D1 for some maps.
