It's insane to me that we're this deep into armor 2.0 and still have useless raid armor. I've been farming Kings Fall Master Challenges and spent all 240 of my Spoils just to hopefully get a single piece of armor that aligned with my build, but I've made absolutely no progress week. Getting perfect stats on raid armor shouldn't be anywhere near as difficult as it is.

The last raid armor serving a purpose is garden of salvation armor.

3 RepliesJust keep the class item from every raid. It's not great, but it sorta works.

3 RepliesEdited by Kiro - 13: 1/9/2024 2:25:11 PMTheirs no point to raid armor other then a stepping stone to artifice armor. & even then Bungie hates the idea of "easy" to obtain artfice armor which is why the duality artifice armor got nerf'd.

1 ReplyIt’s by design so players grind for gear with better stats. It’s lazy and could be fixed easily, not only can it be fixed but it can be made better for the player and playtime numbers. The solution is… Once a player has a complete set of armour from an activity it drops the Exotic class item. Equipping this gives players the benefits of wearing a full set. Masterwork this item by doing activity challenges once complete it unlocks full Class item stat customisation allowing players to fine tune builds. Play the activity> Aquire the set > Earn Class item> Masterwork via activity challenges > Gain the ability to distribute class item stats via slider and bonus of wearing full set. This could be added to all armour sets in the game that have a bonus for players wearing full sets.

Raid armor is not used more than a season and a half. Just use artifact armor and you will be good.

3 RepliesIt’s amazing were this far into D2 and still have useless armor lol then they have the nerve to say the ritual armor isn’t a focus because no one wears it. NO DUH.
-
Honestly armor as it is is probably outdated at this point. Probably could use a well thought out overhaul again
-
I only see Raids as a activity to do for the weapons, Armor from them at this point is basically “Who TF Cares” kind of situation since even Seasonal Vendors and Dungeons can give you armor you want.

Imagine endgame armor being good.🧐🧐🧐

While I completely 100% agree with you, think of it from a Bungie perspective. If they had raid armor drop frequently with the stats you want you’d stop grinding which would then drop their stats on playtime. They use those stats in determining how “great” they’re doing. So they’ll never give you what you want.

1 ReplyAt least make them cross compatible. So any raid armour can take any raid mods.

3 RepliesThe raids are horrible. Not one raid I found fun ,its more like lame mechanics wiping everyone none stop . re running the same encounter over and over to finish it. Bungie really needs to rethink the mechanics to make them playable without looking up the BS mechanics online.. Seriously I did Vow yesterday and 27 sympols bungie ???really . None of the raids flow good. I have done them all but last wish and it sounds like another waste of a evening team wiping. Bungie nobody likes wiping over and over ,until you get a team that squeak's by it. Honesty raids will be Bungies biggest down fall.

Know whats wild? I consistently get awesome armor from Iron Banner, but Raids? I haven't been able to do them a ton, but I've still done them many times. I don't think I've saved a single piece of armor from any Raid... Wait I may have one in my vault. That's insane to me. How is the highest tier end game activity so much worse than something like Iron Banner? This is part of the reason I don't particularly enjoy them though. All that work for what? Its not worth my time and effort.

I do not use a single raid armor because it's too much work to make a set just make raid mods universal and make them 0 power or low cost.
-
4 RepliesJust farm dungeon armor. Plenty of no mic farms out there when an easy dungeon is in rotation.
-
Agreed. It should drop armor of the quality of Pit of Heresy armor drops. That armer goes HARD in stat spikes and stat totals.
-
Raid mods is the tradeoff. Some are more powerful than others. But a 50% damage buff that stacks with everything else is pretty well worth not being able to have triple hundreds.

Stats outside of resil are a meme in PVE

I have an issue with the whole stat system. I got my really good stats where I want them. Now I don't need armor. It's just trash. It's a 1 in 10,000 to get stats that will ever drop close to what I have so it's all trash. Armor perks? Doesn't matter I'm not gonna have a 3 minute cool down on my grenade for a 5% increased reputation boost with riven. It makes farming for weapons 10x more tedious because 60% of my runs of an activity I literally get nothing because armor is automatic dismantle. I suggest instead of armor having perks that they drop with different activities have a chance to drop perk momentos on completion or from questline or season pass. You can apply these perks to any piece of armor for an added bonus in a certain activity. In addition these momentos should not be a consumable. Just an unlock. You should be able to hold up to 5 and only apply how many you have to get a stackable bonus. I.e. you complete an iron banner match and a iron lord's pride momento dropped. You go to your artifice cloak and there's 6 mod slots: general armor mod, artifice armor mod, 3x class item armor mod, and momento mod. You scroll over it and see all your momentos you've collected and see sonar amplifier with a yellow 5 in the corner. Your new iron lord's pride has a 1 in the corner. You apply it to your cloak and the count goes to 0 and the cloak has the perk equipped. Dequipping the momento puts the counter back to 1. Also make the perks a little better. The iron banner armor perk is good but the seasonal armor is useless. Most armor is only usable in a specific activity that I only do an hour a week when it's released so I'm not changing armor for that. I have class items for new activities but that's it. I'm not compromising my build to reduce my drained of light debuff by 2 seconds.

2 RepliesJust make it artifice armor, and give master Dungeons adept drops.
-
There needs to be a little something extra for wearing a complete set of raid armour. A unique perk, + 20 to a stat, Idk.
-
There is honestly no point in running raid mods unless you are doing solo raid encounters or duo that actually do require the use of some mods, and even then its very niche to ever use them.
-
2 RepliesOr if you use a raid ornament on your normal gear it unlocks the slot for the mod
-
Armor mods as a whole are fun and good but Bungie needs to take more risks with em.
-
They really need to have Artifice armour in Master raids to give me an incentive to play more of them.
-
Would be cool to have armour loadouts for different raids (and for gambit again, too).
