FYI:
To most people KWTD just means “did you watch the guide video on YouTube?” and “Can you stay alive and not die from random enemies?”
In my experience, the first couple weeks after a raid or dungeon comes out - there are plenty of lfg posts for newer players.
And while there are definitely some terrible people on the internet, but just watching a video and not dying you’ll probably see a much better experience

Under KWTD I understand "I am familiar with each and every position within an encounter". How they acquire that knowledge is secondary but those who"watched a video" are usually the ones causing issues. I'd much rather want them to be honest and msg me upfront saying"hey, I've never done this before, can you still tag along"?

Watching videos should be enough, it is for me. Thats because not everyone got the time to do them trail and error wise. And a Raid isnt rocket sience, you just need a dedicated team with some patience. So watching videos give you the broad picture, and then really learn when you join KWTD posts. Observe and learn, and more seasoned players wil pick up your slack untill you really know what to do and where enemies spawn etc. Thats how i did the last 2 Raids, and got the carrie emblem for both.

You don't join a KWTD if you have to learn. That's an immediate kick from me. If you don't respect me and my time I have no reason to put up with you.

Didnt you read the part about the videos, how els can you learn the mechanics when you never did it. So altho you know what to do in theorie, then you still need to practise in the real runs. Like i said, carried people in the last 2 Raids (carrie emblems) So i am obviously doing it right and know the mechanics. I carried people that didnt really knew what to do and i didnt mind aslong as they could do some good DPS it was fine. In the proces they learned, and some people only learn from doing it, observe and learn. And when you would have kicked me, i would have moved on and find another LFG. Not the end of the world.

You can play the way you want and I will play the way I want. If I post for KWTD and someone joins that can't handle the job they have been tasked with it's an immediate kick.

But you had to learn to, because i dont think that you where born with Raid mechanics in your brain. So probably other guardians carried you to at some time when you didnt know what to do. And the more guardians that know the raid, the more people you have to play with, the pool gets bigger. I get it when you dont have the time and want to accomplish your goal, but it doesnt always work that way. And helping others is a good thing to do, makes you a better person.
