The worst fight ever in destiny
I am trying to do parting the veil with the calus fight I finished the fight with calus by having someone help me. the fight is the most poorly designed fight. you get knocked off. its so horrible I don't even want to do it. they fixed the cheeses too I think. the fight would be good if there was no place to get knocked off. you cant prevent yourself from being knocked off. if I use strand to swing I swing into the hole and cant control it.

5 RepliesKill the Tormentors first then kill Calus. Leviathan's Breath stun locks Calus and both Xenophage as well as the Hunter's Strand Super will massacre Tormentors once their crit spots have been broken. Super easy once you know. It's only difficult if you rush

1 ReplyI just soloed the calus fight on normal its much easier than the parting the veil mission. in fact parting the veil is 5 times harder. there are way more adds to knock you off and they have more health I believe . malfesecense would help in that fight. i doubt I would be able to do calus on legend solo since you have a limited number of lives.

I never had a problem with a campaign mission so that says something it is the worst .

Mission is to long,boss isnt a good fight,its rather easy when u see his fight pattern,tormentors can be susbended.so killing them is a joke,if u stand still to long in 1 place he rain "hellfire" on you. choose a side,kill adds,stay there to it glow red then just jump up on one the sides,rince and repeat,phase 2 is 100 times easier. after u kill him u kinda feel like the hulk vs loki. Puny god.

This fight sums up what is wrong with this game. Many new players came into the game with Lightfall and couldn't finish the campaign because the final mission's boss battle had every single irritating thing you could put in a boss fight all in one battle. For me, I did this mission on Legendary with three different characters and despised it with a passion, but I've played for a long time, so I figured out a strategy, and I leaned into my experience dealing with fights that trap you in small places with the boss. So I did it, but there is no universe where this mission is fun. This was supposed to be the capstone mission of Lightfall, and it was about as fun as stapling your fingers to a table. It's no wonder the game has faltered when Bungie puts out stuff like this.

1 ReplyIn the begining, Calus was a hard fight, ngl, but once you get a hang of the swinging mechanics, it's a pretty easy fight. Witherhoard & a LFR are your friend here. Save your heavy for the tormentor & just gun & run on Calus, Hunter style.

I did this long ago on all three characters solo. You just gotta use a smart loadout and learn the fight better.

3 RepliesI just crawl under the stairs at the start and get to the spot where ads can’t shoot or see you but you can shoot calus all day with osteo. I’m aware it’s considered a cheese but idgaf.

3 RepliesPretty soon people are going to start to expect the final boss of the Final Shape to be killed in a couple shots and call it a day. And I doubt anyone is gonna play the Final Shape. For a boss that looks like he could -blam!- a whole planet with his finger, it's a shame people don't really expect a big challenge from it instead expect to kill him with a pink sidearm with hearts on it. Look, When Lightfall dropped I was seriously frustrated when I fought Calus solo on legend because I didn't want things to be too easy or even normal. Personally, I wanted to get the most out of the story. People play the game to their heart's desire. If you hate it good. But, I would agree that the Calus fight was BS...only because I was getting a bit angry and that's normal.

The only thing other people add is the ability to rez, and you're going to need to probably. I think solo I used witherhoard, don't recall primary, and a 450 MG to pink away the inquisitors. It's the quintessential Bungie fish bowl fight. Nowhere to hide, nowhere to go, constant adds. And literally the shape of a bowl.

Hide in the pipes on the ceiling or. Under the stairs. The fight is BS. Not worth it.
