• Mobility itself is broken in PvP. Have you played crucible lately? It is all about the zoomers now.

Mobility does not effect movement speed my guy well documented topic. & many people have gotten the proverbial "egg on their face" trying to argue other wise only to be provided to links to wiki, reddit, and youtube vids hows it has no effect on it. Its understandable though as the in-game HUD when you mouse over mobility says increases movement speed. What it actually does: increases strafe speed, walk speed(aka when talking around the tower, yea thats not a joke), and the height of the first and second jump(does not effect the 3rd jump if you played triple jump lets say).

  • I don't mean the stat. I mean all movement in the game. Sure, it is a shooter. But it is way too easy to be successful with being a fast shotgun rusher in PvP than being a slow, defensive player.

Well mobility provides nothing with: "Mobility itself is broken in PvP. Have you played crucible lately? It is all about the zoomers now." what you are likely encountering is snapskate, icarus dash, shoulder charge. Hunters do not "zoom" as you put it unless they have strand equipped. Its also an established fact the warlocks and titans are faster then hunters. This is because suppressing the mobility stat actually makes them faster. The opposite of what you are saying.

A stat that reduces dodge cooldown that helps Hunters to dodge into cover while reloading melee charge or weapon and also special versions of the dodge like the Strand Dive Dodge and Stasis Teleport dodge... Surely "provides nothing". Especially with Dragon's Shadow you surely don't get buffs either, eh?

  • The buff exists but provides no priority reason to build into mobility. Sure, strafe speed might be increased, but it's not such a drastic difference with high or low mobility that makes it harder to track during a gun fight. A lot of hunters that use stompees have straight up abandoned building into mobility since they aren't using their dodge anyways.

  • If dodge cool down was tied to recovery or resilience no one would use mobility. Also your sole point at first I thought was people are moving fast via augmentation of mobility. I just explained that the lower mobility you are the faster you go. Would you like some guides on movment tech for titan and warlock? they will greatly improve your game play in both pve and pvp.
If dodge cool down was tied to recovery or resilience no one would use mobility.
Oh, don't worry. Resilience is useless in PvP too. What do I get on 100 resilience? Like 20HP? that's not even enough to survive another hand cannon crit. Maybe like 1 auto rifle bullet... But nothing more. But Recovery for sure is the king of PvP stats. In PvE it's a different story tho.
Also your sole point at first I thought was people are moving fast via augmentation of mobility. YOU SHOULD BE SLOW AF when you have less than 30-40 mobility.

  • Resilience reduces flinch, pushes up the ttk of alot of weapons(agressive frame pulses, thorn, drang, target lock immortal , and many others), reduces the duration of freeze, and makes it harder to activate knock out for arc titans as it increases your shields not your HP or other abilitys that check if the targets shield is broken.

  • Reduces flinch by 1% per a stat, the ttk change barely changes there's a reason resilience was considered the worst stat before it got dr, doesn't reduce it reduces damage done when you use the break out feature which needs 2.5 seconds to activate normal freeze lasts 0.8 not nearly long enough plus you have to be on the floor for it to start, knockout always activates unless you were killed by a special as every primary will always lower a player perfectly into the red even with overshields.

  •
Resilience reduces flinch
In PvE maybe. Not PvP. I run 100 resilience and I flinch like before there.
pushes up the ttk of alot of weapons(agressive frame pulses, thorn, drang, target lock immortal , and many others)
Oh yeah... Because a 0.05s increase in TTK is surely a game changer on an already 0.76s Immortal. It doesn't matter if a stat increases the TTK of certain guns when it barely matters at all in general. A protecting fart is still a fart that doesn't do -blam!-.
reduces the duration of freeze
Freeze from Stasis already is hard-coded to a 1,5s duration outside of Super abilities. There is no need at all for that in that stat. Was just added to sound fancy to us players.
and makes it harder to activate knock out for arc titans as it increases your shields not your HP
Oh, yes. Sure. A 20HP increase kinda does that... Shame it is a counter to the very same class this stat is tied to... Titans... Also, still those 20HP are hardly a full auto rifle bullet to the body within its range. If 100 Resilience would let you survive a headshot from a sniper rifle, then I would agree it is a good stat in PvP. But it doesn't.

  • Something tells me you lose all your gun fights and only get kills from abilities like arc titan melee spamming and third-partying an already hurt target. It's like you've never hit an optimal ttk in any duel. So obviously, you wouldnt notice the value in high resilience.

Ok lets disregard numbers since you dont seem to be an analytics guy and lets look at real world implementation. Faceit, scrims, and the likes have a ban list im sure you are aware. This is to make the game more fair and balanced and removes abilitys, weapons, & exotoics that create imbalance. What not many people are aware of is stats have rules and bans as well. 100 resilience is bann'd while having 100 recovery and 100 mobility is not. Last I checked I think the max resilience you could have was 80 or 90 but then you were not allowed to have recovery at 100. I dont mean to call you out here but if you disagree with this you are saying the best players in the game have no clue what they are talking about. & lets be real you think you are better then Panduh, Foti or Legatron? I sure as hell am not.

  • Banned? No. You just have a limited amount of points you can have in each stat with a max of 68 I believe. This means you can only have 34 points in recovery, resilience, and mobility so if you have 20 resilience you can only have 12 mobility/recovery since the game also needs at least 2 in each stat. You have 4 pieces to work with. The best you COULD get is 16+16 as this would be 32 which since 2 are in mobility this would be the best balance you could get.

  • Jeez when I make jokes to my friends about how pvp players want the game to be melee/hc only I didn't think I'd see someone try to be LITERAL with this.

  • The scrim secne is very different. Different loadouts, different play style, and difficulty cranked up to 11. Most ppl have no clue whats going on they just come by to watch Panduh on Twitch and have no clue theirs actually a massive rule subset as faceit runs the same rules.

  • Because you dont see the value of pushing up ttk or reduced flinch so I took a different approach. At end game pvp ppl dont miss so adjusting the ttk of a weapon is the difference between winning and loosing a fight.

  • Not just that. Mobility in general. D1 had a sprint cooldown. D2 doesn't. D2 has several dodge abilities. D1 has only 2.

  • Tbf, the Mobility stat only affects initial jump height, Hunter Dodge cooldown, and walking speed

  • Which still gives advantages. More jump height means more momentum in a direction, that can be extended by the actual class jump. Hunter Dodge CD explains itself and walking speed is important for ADS movement.
