I had this issue on PS5. I was using a headset plugged in to my controller. After unplugging my headset it stopped crashing during the zone transitions.

Just tested this and it worked. Unplugged my headset that was in via usb and it started working. Halfway through the mission I plugged it back it and the mission suddenly crashed I think the audio might be peaking too high on headset and causing a gamecrash? Weird theory but maybe worth looking into
