Yes because if you are doing something that gives you something above the cap and then later on you run out of that resource then you are forced to do the previous activity again (if you want to use it)
Eg if you fill up on whatever let’s you open a chest at the end of a seasonal activity Eg by running multiple IB activities then at a 200 cap after 4 runs of the seasonal activity you can open that chest and need to run other stuff to get more currency.
Same with ascendant shards if you have 10 in inventory and 10 in postmaster and run anything that drops one and later use then all up and need to get more.
It’s not that difficult a concept.

Yea but capping them prevents you from farming them making you need to play less ....and lets be honest you don't need this many materials ....especially with the change with light fall ....but I'm sure you don't want to acknowledge good thing they are doing

To avoid this you have to rotate activities / spend currencies before you want to etc etc. I’ll put a cap on your bank account then you don’t have to work as much by your logic.

Not wasted if you don't need it ....and anyone been playing for a while don't need any new armor set The only materials which you would need more is the one that has a cap of 999 and can get multiple stack on yourself
