feel like raiding just isn't worth like it used to be? Every random player I raided with back in the day was patient, willing to teach, and work with you. Nowadays it feels like everyone is impatient, wants to rush, toxic, and has some sort of superiority complex. Maybe too much grinding over the years made them this way?
Anyways. There are a lot of toxic players -blam!- need to work on patience. Enjoy the game, admire the intricacy. Dial yourself back a bit and ask yourself if your truly having fun. Because toxicity suggests to me at least that you aren't having fun and that your too hooked on your next gear-drop-fix similar to gambling addiction.
No one seems to enjoy playing content for contents-sake fun. I personally am the kind of person who would love to raid even if the raid rewarded absolutely nothing because the challenge and comradery of a fun team is much more rewarding than gear to me.

I do think that more areas of regular pve content (strikes, seasonal arenas, raids, dungeons etc) should be kill gated. In other words most moment to moment encounters should not be skippable, you should have to clear the trash to open doors/passages. Players go through a lot of trouble to avoid having to play the game.
