I wouldn't overlook the weekly Witch Queen story mission as there are a couple that you can hit the 100K score on Hero for the +2 pinnacle.
Two that come to mind are Last Chance and The Ritual and perhaps The Cunning

Ah so like the certain nightfall missions, matchmaking into those missions are likely to produce 100K?

Yes. However keep in mind that like nightfalls, it's dependent on the team that you matched up with for that run if you hit the 100K score threshold. Both Last Chance and The Ritual are long enough missions and have a good density of enemies that you can hit 100K without a lot of effort, even if you get matched with that one player who bum rushes from the get go. I wouldn't overlook using LFG for the weekly story missions since they can be done without ever needing to be on a mic.
