Way to ruin another exotic because of pvp. How about just make damage bonus work in PVE only not hard.
-
Oddly enough I’m actually looking forward to the change. I have a void collective obligation build with the only debuff missing is volatile. I know I can get it from grenade kills but I want suppression from my grenade.

4 RepliesEdited by AppleSoda: 12/2/2022 5:31:38 AMBro this is a buff. Volatile Rounds is way better than a small damage bonus in 99% of situations, this includes in PvP too. Now Hunters not only have a dumb easy way to spam volatile rounds, they also have a dumb easy way to spam stylish executioner. And you still get the damage buff if you do invis finisher. If you think this is gonna kill this exotic, or that this is even a nerf, you’re insane. Pop invis once, get volatile rounds, all kills afterward grant invis, wallhacks and refreshes your volatile rounds😐. Only downside is having to use a void weapon.

1 ReplyThis is just like Lorely “nerf” where they made the exotic even better and people still cried. Smh.
-
5 RepliesAll it needed was a slight reduction in damage buff. And if they REALLY wanted, change it so VOID USERS gain volatile rounds with gryfalcon, while non void users still retain the damage buff albeit slightly reduced. Thats ALL it needed, and I can honestly say it would be balanced. But NO mention of TITAN STORM GRENADES, that damn near everyone including titans agree is STRONG AF. But no...lets make the chest piece USELESS to the actual f-ing users who dont use or have any void weapons they like.
-
What? It's still as strong if not stronger in PvE, pair with stylish executioner u'll have constant weakening volatility and the shizz without using CO
-
It’s likely going to be better. Definitely in the build I use it with when you utilise Collective Obligation - you’ll be able to perpetually chain the exotic perk and all it’s effects.
-
so you are mad that bungie made the exotic stronger? lmfao

1 ReplyI agree. People will realise a few weeks down the line it's a nerf. I currently get volitile from grenade kills and my gun replenishes my grenade before the timer runs out. So basically I'm losing 35% damage buff in my build. Hunter will be weaker for it.
-
1 ReplyNo it was nerfed because the free damage buff is to easy to activate and to powerful in pvp
-
I had such a good damage loop on my void hunter too. I see it as a side ways change, not a nerf or a buff. We'll see, PVP cost my hunter a damage strat and that sucks. Hopefully volatile will be a worthwhile replacement.
-
1 ReplyA lot of people missing the fact that it is a PVE nerf. It's sounds ok in PvP with stylish even though that trusight has never been better than a normal radar ( and I will die on that hill)
-
2 RepliesWith Stylish Executioner, Gyrfalcon is gonna be busted in PvE. Infinite Volatile Rounds.
-
The more I think about this the better it is, depending on the volatile rounds duration of course.
-
Edited by Daemon White: 12/3/2022 2:41:46 AMAll they did was swap the Volatile and Damage buff around. Do you not understand how easy it is to activate the perks still in PvE? Weaken enemy > Dodge invis > MORTAL KOMBAAAAT Invis on finisher fragment to refresh Volatile and it's basically 0 change to how it was before. By the time either Volatile or Damage buff timer runs out you can weaken and dodge again to restart the loop just like we could before.
-
Might have a cooldown with it. Like some aspects have, so you can’t keep getting the buff. Could be a 30 or 45 sec cooldown, which would suck.

1 ReplyEdited by Infamous067: 12/2/2022 6:30:51 PMWhoa what? Instant volatile rounds for going invis sounds bad for you? This change is possibly the best thing bungie has ever done in overhauling an exotic. Remember hunters can go invisible for killing enemies affected by volatile, suppressed or debuffed. This means you will basically be invisible 100% of the time in pve AND you get a damage boost for killing someone with a finisher while invisible? This is going to be the best hunter pve exotic in the game hands down. Even in pvp its still going to be really good, you come out of invis, kill the enemy player and instantly go invisible again. I mean come on bro, you will never have to debuff or use suppression to go invis anymore. I wish bungie could make insane exotics for the other classes like this and yet here you are complaining that it got changed? Lol you guys have no idea how good you really have it
-
4 RepliesDude, volatile rounds is insane. It's not a nerf.
-
Just from these comments you can tell most of these people have never used Volatile rounds in pvp (which is what this change was for) and now you get them for FREE every what, 15-20 seconds? And for complaining about losing your easy damage buff... Really? There is a million and a half ways to get a ridiculous damage buff in PvE. God forbid you actually have to DO something other than turn invisible.

1 ReplyEdited by Ethanshmeethan: 12/2/2022 2:58:35 PMGryfalcons, le monarque. Pop invis, aim, shoot, watch them die, and repeat Edit: also forgot to mention with stylish executioner you get wallhacks for killing void debuffed enemies sooooo yeah way better than it was before

Bungie needs to stop handing out free damage buffs it’s harmful for the sandbox
-
Incoming anti Hunter flood of tears .

2 RepliesI haven't touched the exotic, because I knew it was going to get nerfed and I didn't want to like it when it did. Now I won't use it because it'll end up getting nerfed again lol. Bungie's infinite wisdom at work here.
-
2 RepliesGood nerf. I went solo flawless easily last week abusing this exotic. Hunters don't need a damage buff coming out of invis in PVE, the already out DPS every other class with ALL of their supers. Volatile rounds will be VERY good in PVE including DPS situations. That thing was stupidly overpowered

3 RepliesIf titans get to lose there damage bonus from lorely so can the hunters.

Lol cry harder pvp crutcher
