Eris + Finch = Amazing
We already know that if a guardian who loses their ghost, and a ghost who loses their guardian want to, they can partner up. There is precedent for this in the case of shin malphur, he was risen as a toddler but his ghost was killed shortly after. Years later, after being trained by jaren ward, a guardian, as a hunter, ward is killed by dregen yor and the surviving ghost is able to be ome the ghost of shin malphur.
So. If you accept this as fact, there should be no reason why eris and finch cannot work together. This would give both what they want/need - eris would once again be a hunter able to wield the light and return from death. Finch would be able to fulfill his (its??) dream of working for the vanguard. And finch's super shifty secretive nature would harmonize well with eris.

2 RepliesI still think the Dark Future is inevitable. Eris is starting to feel happiness again with Drifter. With everything else she's gone through, I think losing him would be enough to push her over the edge.

1 ReplyI think this would be a good combo. Finch's shifty and sarcastic personality can play off of Eris's seriousness, the way Cayde used to, and the way Drifter does now. There would have to be some excuse for Eris to go to the throne world. Maybe she is sneak attacked before she can activate her Stasis powers, then Finch comes to the rescue just in time.

4 RepliesI think for fynch it wouldn’t work as technically his knight is still his. In wards case he was killed by the original thorn which drained his light, therefore removing the connection between his ghost and him. So we’d have to find the og thorn, rebuild it, kill the knight, and then fynch could go to eris

2 RepliesI’d prefer Fynch manage to convince Ken to swap to our side. With Asher being hinted at being in the vex network, we just need a proper Hive ally to have unified all the main factions against the darkness.

That would be so cool and I like Eris, minus that witchcraft thing she did last season but other than that I think is a cool and spooky character along with her personality. So her and Finch would be a fun duo together because she doesn’t talk much but when she does she has a depressing sound to her voice and Finch is well the opposite pretty much.

4 RepliesI still think Finch is a spy. Everything he says, EVERYTHING, and the way he says it makes me really suspicious. I don't trust him at all. That said I'm starting to feel a little uneasy about Eris too.

Technically, since Fynch is still living, he can still resurrect his light-bearing knight. And you know how our ghosts couldn't revive Cayde? Fynch is bound to his guardian now and forever. He couldn't revive Eris if he wanted to. And since Eris has already lost her original ghost, it's pretty much game over for her. Other wise, the vanguard and anyone else in or near that position would have dragged a ghost over Cayde's dead body and had the ghost revive him. But that's not what happened was it? Like I said, I love the concept but it wouldn't happen.. And what about Eris's iconic ahamkara bone that got her through the hive's magic and deep caves? It wouldn't be so monumental if she had a ghost, or specifically, Fynch.

This is definitely one of the few side points of destiny’s story that could synergize well with the bigger plot while also not skewing it off it’s path. I like the idea.

6 RepliesCoincidentally, I just played the Witch Queen campaign on my Titan and once again, I was getting so annoyed how my Ghost was treating Fynch. I would easily rather have Fynch as my Ghost than the one I currently have.
