Void lock in pvp right now feels pretty off. I think the below suggestions would go a long way to restoring it's identity.
*Hand held super nova.
Option 1. Leave hand held super nova as is but restore one hit kill = High risk high reward.
Option 2. Decrease charge time, increase hold time and assure knock back severity regardless of opposing guardian sliding or running toward user.
*Consuming grenade to activate devour.
Reinstate this, because having to use secant exotic legs to get it on rift placement is a hard nerf from what we initially had.
*Vortex nova bomb and cataclysm.
Give vortex nova lance and remove self kill from both.
*Blink.
Blink didn't get touched at all in the void 3.0 update. Currently it has 4x penalties working against it which is too many.
1. Loss of radar.
2. Weapon ready penalty.
3. Limited to 2x blinks with a cooldown (which has no timer)
4. Blink hit box stretch that takes damage.
(Yes in D1 blink shot gun was op and needed to be tuned) however it's been nerfed far more than it should have.
Firstly I suggest removing the blink hit box stretch because getting killed by being shot where you no longer are isn't rewarding a smart choice for taking evasive action, it's actually punishing that choice. (Can you imagine a hunter getting a stretched hit box on their double and triple jumps?) yeah exactly.
Secondly I think the weapon ready and radar loss penalty should remain but a blink cool down timer be added. There is no reason for not having a cool down timer on it when everything else in the game does too. (Cue toxic players saying "it's so easy to get the timing and it sounds like a you problem dude" rather than just accepting the fact that it'll help make it things better for everyone)
Void walker is meant to be a pvp life sucking vampiric beast and not just a solid PvE class.
Hunters invis stalker fantasy = got it.
Titans stone wall defence = got it.
Warlocks life sucking vampire = rip.

I find void warlock to be fine as is.

2 RepliesI'd say the warlock's identity is to be the most potent with space magic rather than any super special single buff/debuff.

Edit: I don’t mean that op is crying nerf. I’m just saying that titans finally get to live their fantasy of being a wall, but everyone wants it nerfed. Hunters have always got to live their fantasy (stealthy/agile), warlock have kinda got to live theirs (healer/space magic even though every class has access to space magic). Titans have never gotten to live theirs

1 ReplyHopefully Bungie at least acknowledged the lack of identity that is warlock void 3.0
