Nothing you do will make me ever enjoy gambit
Trying to do 8 bounties of absurd kill requirements in this mode? Worst part about destiny, now and forever. No more gambit. Please.

45 RepliesThey ruined it. They time gated the boss with multiple immune phases which is garbage. They gave everyone heavy which is garbage. They brought back the Prime way of getting damage phase by taking out Wizards which is garbage. They made Gambit take longer than before which is garbage. They added a catch up mechanic where the losing team gets yellow bars spawning that drop tons of motes which is garbage. They didn't add a new map which is garbage. They didn't bring back the Dreaming City map which is garbage. You can't focus the new weapons which is garbage. They literally "overhauled" it in the worst way possible and made a mode that was horrible even worse. It's an absolute joke of a mode and they should just get rid of it completely.

I’ve seen this thread for the past couple days. Went into gambit last night for pinnacle gear. It was absolutely horrible.

Same. OG gambit and even prime are better than any other iteration after. Now it's longer with the same stupid mini raid bosses and only ammo from boxes. Double special with ammo finders is ok but no ammo drops. Any invasion is stupid when you can hop in, fire gally, and hop out. Yes we can fire back but the nonsense wall hacks are stupid. People just don't need to ads much so that change was useless. Remove overshield and wall hacks maybe it'll be a tiny better. Unfortunately we'll have to do the minimum two resets for the weapon and ornament challenge, unless no one cares about a sh!tgun.

11 RepliesI liked the previous version of gambit more than this version. I hate sitting in the boss fight for 5 mins. Let us melt the boss and get to the next game. These games take way to long for no reason.

1 ReplyI hate crucible and never play it, that means I wont get some weapons or catalyst. You can do the same with Gambit, ignore it and go on.

Absolutely. Get 25 kills with some -blam!- weapon while your teammates are running glaives, generally fast-killing weapons and are spamming their abilities is a pain! Always has been. Also, if you try to get 25 kills with one weapon you’re pretty much not playing the objective and you’re compromising your team’s effort.

I enjoy gambit but I also agree that they just can’t seem to find a good place for it. We are basically back to prime now only this time we don’t have roles with our armor sets so if somehow feels worse than me. I honestly would like to see them lean back into the roles and rpg elements with gambit armor again

Yeah it'll always be garbage. Crucible is actually way worse this season so far, too. Both are dropped as soon as I'm done leveling.

1 ReplyI just wish, if nothing else, that they could have actually adjusted those bounties now instead of "Sometime this Season". Went to grab additional bounties, and was shocked as usual when bounty was like [i]"Get 25 grenade kills"[/i], instead of the proposed 5. Shouldn't be that hard to change the numbers, but shrug.

I'm liking most of the changes. There can actually be changes in momentum unlike gambit the last year.

Liked version before this expansion seemed to be balanced with PvP guys hopping, time to kill boss and waiting for the heavy ammo . Now seems heavy ammo everywhere I look only good chance is multiple teammates can get heavy ammo no more only one player getting heavy when all 4 players there when opened. The primeval though just feels way to drawn out especially for an event most didn’t run with fireteams or headsets but now need to communicate as got guys all over trying kill primes others wasting bunch ammo on the Primeval but doing zero dmg with shield up and when primes dead have no heavy left . It’s also made getting 4 kills when u transport almost impossible as most opponents maybe u near 1-2 but seem always other 2 other side map dealing with primes not near Primeval and time always runs out before even see em in your sights. Overall seems more of a grind and not fun at all . Had first map this expansion where neither team finished off primeval and only won by more damage done and that was like 2nd match of new version when previous one probably played about 100 matches and never had neither team not finish a primeval off .. More of a raid / nightfall where u need full fireteam and everyone on headsets kinda killing it for solo players. You could in last version at least solo make big impact even if teammates not all doing everything right way with bunch more banking or hoping over get 3-4 PvP kills to keep primeval strength up but not anymore. Thought was decent event not too long of matches but not now .The grind is real !!

My 2 year review showed 0% Gambit. I never liked it, never will. I just refuse.

I actually like the new gambit. The health gates can feel random at times but that’s been my only issue.
