Exotic Weapon Catalyst Idea Thread

There are a few weapons that don't have catalysts yet. So I thought I would create a thread where people could post their ideas for how a potential catalyst for exotic weapons that don't already have any could look. My thought is on the Queenbreaker. I would love for that to be moved to special instead of heavy, and given the amount of ammo it had in D1 and its catalyst could give it the perk that makes it possible to change it from arc to solar to void, similar to Hard Light. Out in the game you see Vandals run around with this weapon with different burn types, so that would be cool to add to our weapon as well. I think that would probably make people use it more.

      • When le monarque hits precision hits it spawns deathbringer orbs. And when malfeasance lands 4 headshots they supercombine into a titan thundercrash. Yes....i am joking... But also now you know my 2 favorites.

          [b]Wish Ender[/b]: should have the perk, [u]Magnificent Sight[/u] where when fully drawn Crouching increase the radius of your True Sight, and Gives increased damage on the first shot of the bow while crouching. +Increased Handling, And movement Speed with this bow equipped. [b]Terrabah[/b]: When stowed this weapon Does Not lose the Ravenous Beast perk unless it is fully charged. + increased mag size 31-45

          • Moving it to special would be ok, I don't agree with the catalyst though because we already have borealis which uses special and changes elements. I just stick to hardlight though if I want multiple elements like that

              Malefeacence: only need 4 slugs to explode (nerf damage in pvp so it wouldn’t be op) Last word: give it icarus and increase the mag size by one Jotunn: impulse amplifier Le monarque: archers tempo and increase the blast radius of the poison cloud Arbalest: it’s already getting anti barrier so: does increased damage to shields (basically armor piercing rounds) Thorn: similar to the lumina cat; you get 2 remanants per kill Wavesplitter: picking up more orbs increases damage. Devils ruin: decreases laser charge time Cloud strike: triple tap and snapshot Tarahaba: doesn’t loose ravenous beast stacks when stored 1k voices: deeper pockets Queen breaker: should be made special and you should be able to switch scopes on the fly Thunderlord: 4th times the charm and chain reaction. Also, give it overload Anarchy: deeper pockets and allows longer chains OR deeper pockets and auto loading holster Truth: increase tracking and damage Xenophage: auto loading holster and an option increase rate of fire, but lose damage (can swap like hard light) Salvations grip: bigger crystals.

            • Assuming they haven't been changed like Trinity, Talon, LoW, and Cerberus since they were data mined, here's what several are supposed to get: Thorn gets 20 range and 30 stability. Queenbreaker gets better target acquisition. TTFox gets more ammo. Malfeasance gets 20 range and a useless perk. Last Word gains bonus damage for a few seconds after switching to it, but with a perk like that, I'm surprised bonus handling wasn't mentioned. Don't know about others.

              • I know sleeper already have a cat. But hear me out. What if sleeper shots have tracking? Anarchy: shots create an electrical barrier around you. Any enemies or projectiles will get destroyed upon contact.

                  • I’d like to see le monarque get something that perhaps weakens enemies affected by poison, maybe something small like a 10% boost or perhaps permanent overload rounds. It’s already a great choice in endgame content so I don’t think it needs anything overly complicated or crazy.

                  • Here’s an idea, le monarque’s catalyst could make it to where precision kills double the range of the poison explosion. Also, Thunderlord should get subsistence as a catalyst
