Worst super in the game (PvP). Activation takes half a match and the ability to just walk out of it is a joke.

100% this No matter where I shoot I get killed - there is close to what seems 1.5 sec activation time from point of impact which is more than enough time for someone to get close and kill. Few other things to mention: - Even a direct shot to someone in super doesn’t kill them which is ridiculous (I use single shot). - when you fire at range, it’s easy for someone to walk behind a wall and the arrow tracks to the wall - the camera angles are crazy and if you jump too high your tether hits the dangling crap on the ceiling The only thing to do is prefire and hope for the best, then again, more people just walk in the other direction.

2 RepliesHonestly I’ve just accepted that Tether will never be good. People have been asking for this change since it got introduced. Hell they even took it a step further and nerfed the amount damage shared to tethered enemies from being 100% to 50% (As if it being a one and done super with extra steps wasn’t enough). I knew from the moment it was shown at E3 that it would be garbage for PvP.

Shoot it near enemies, it'll grab someone. If it has multiple people, blood bound perk will do the rest.

Worst super in the game (PvP). Most of the time the people kill me with their super before the tether actually suppresses them.
Worst super in the game (PvP). Activation takes half a match and the ability to just walk out of it is a joke.
Right? Just make it OHK and activate on contact!

Both forms of tether suck in PvP. I'm blown away that you have to hit your targets EXACTLY. While hammers and dawnblade have such HUGE hitboxes. Just throw a hammer or dawnblade in the general direction of the opposing guardian and they die. If you miss a tether slightly YOU die.

The tracking is also terrible. One step to the side and it misses completely.

I mean, literally every void class is getting revamped with Witch Queen, so odds are there's going to be some comically overpowered nonsense when that comes out.
-
It's half decent in control but I'd recommend using literally any other super for hunters, just because it's better to use a super to confirm a kill rather then using tether to increase your chances to kill

Tether sucks

4 RepliesSo? Spectral is -blam!- useless in pve. Not everything has to be amazing at both pve and pvp, this is why the game has balance issues.

1 ReplyTether is pretty slow to activate and sometimes supress a roaming super in it's radius after it gets a kill . Best way to play tether is to not jump up and shoot it at your feet. Even if it doesn't supress a super, most players with roaming super won't come close and it can out run any roaming super. Worst case can be a dawnblade way up in the sky out of it's radius. It is suggested to pop it in an enclosed space.

Preach.
