Again:
I don’t even understand players grinding this “event” to begin with.
Lore pages? Shader? Emblem? Triumph pennies?
So boring.
So unrewarding.
So my question is: why do you play Destiny now? Don’t you have other more interesting games to play that recently released?
I’m going tbh, Destiny is not worth $100/year only to run a hamster wheel of recycled dog poop.
However over the past year or so there was nothing else to play, try, experience other than a couple games.
It’s not the case anymore, and more games are coming on the calendar.
So if you can’t just drop Destiny because you recently have spent another 100 or much more on this game, or need to grind for a 1000th messenger and act like trials is your rendez vous, that’s a you problem.
I didn’t pre order the gally I got 7y ago already, I didn’t pre order a hive ghost I can’t care less about, I don’t find fun to play the same pvp maps, some 7 years old, over and over again, i don’t find trials interesting or fun and even less rewarding, so I’m totally free to play other games, and I’m having fun.
You, instead, by hamstering this dog poop event and the rest of the game, are only giving bungie more reasons to be lazy and stingy.

Yet... Here you are. In the Bungie.net forums. Amazing how you can be having fun not caring about this game but yet... Here you are.

#textcomprehension1001 failed.

Oh really? Seems to me several instances in your post tells me you are disinterested in the game for various reasons and there are a plethora of games to play at this time that yet while you claim moving on from Destiny is the move to make, you are on the Bungie.net forums talking about a game you claimed to move on from. You try to make a case but you hold no grounds. You either project too much, or have a hard time with basic text comprehension. I hold my critics to this game and the course it is taking. When I am dissatisfied with the content, I don’t buy it. I don’t pre order 6 months in advance or pay for an annual season pass when I have no reasons or motivation to. I stated simple facts. What you’re doing is very childish, since, for instance you would assume I hate my gf or I’m gay only because I claim that women logic is very often hard to deal with, or that I don’t always support my gf’s expectations. Anyway. I am very happy to have my own fanboy, just sad you missed on the sarcasm, disappointment, or delusion I often expressed :)

The correct way to make a satire post such as sarcasm is to denote /s at the end of your post as tone is not projected through text. Also I don't really care much I think its funny that 90% of what goes on in these forums is people wanting to move on from this franchise but yet are still participating in the community. Sarcasm or not you are participating and its sad. Just move on kid.

Edited by Wanderer: 10/16/2021 5:55:43 PMI play elder scrolls online and warframe now. Some games only exist as they are because of people who can't leave a comfort zone to expand what they can like. I watched a video on the psychology of it all and it led me to try new things.

I used to play cod relentlessly. Quit for destiny in 2014 n never looked back. This is the first year I'm looking at the new cod, maybe halo, n I'm offski
-
Uhm soo as far as games just released, nothing is spectacular! New World will fry your graphics card and everything else is just meh. Destiny is the best game on the market for the price and content with exceptional graphics( if your veiwing from my 4k perspective)
-
Highly disagree. You can love the $100/year hamster wheel, but it is nothing close to the $50/60 we had 7years ago. Graphics, flashing colors and the likes are not content. Sitting at the same slot machines doesn’t make your opinion of a casino more worthy.

The content is pretty awful tbh. Run in circles for mediocre rewards and materials. Everything the do is geared towards getting your money, everything is reskinned, reused, same loops, same crutches, more bugs than any game I've ever seen, and a huge amount of fanboys defending their every move. They've no competition, they're incompetent, and very complacent It's a very expensive game to even play, but apparently it's free. I agree btw, there's nothing out there right now, hasn't been for years, but that doesn't make destiny good, not even close.
-
The games genre is moving towards subscription based platforms. Take a look at Ubisoft launcher, Origin and EA Play, Battlenet though they have very few games, Xbox gamepass. I own D2 and all it's content past and future on steam but if I had waited before buying I would be able to play all of the content on my Ultimate gamepass subscription. And in my opinion under the circumstance with sunsetting or vaulting content a subscription would be the best course of action as you are not buying the game and loosing anything, plus you have access to hundreds of games.
-
I bought ultimate just for destiny as I moved to new gen xbox from PS4 n its way cheaper across 3 years. Then they didn't put WQ on gamepass, and forsakens being culled and beyond light is over Personally I'm just tired of the same core playlists, the constant turning up the hot water to boil the turtle which is eververse, and the nonstop pushes to the bungie store, and the ever increasing yearly price, with almost no QoL changes. If they did subscription, they'd have to do a hell of a lot better.

Edited by SifuDizzy2021: 10/16/2021 6:18:11 PMWell I think they will still monopolize on hard sells but also take advantage of the subscription based sales. I'm just indicating that under the precept of having the Xbox Gamepass Ultimate subscription I could have saved myself close to 200 bucks instantly. The long view would be that I spent the same amount in the long run on subscription based. The key factor here is that all dlc is available for all gamepass holders! Destiny 2 Vanilla is free. The seasons are not. At most the F2P characters will only care about crucible, if they have to do anything related to questing they tend to quick through the dialog, and in old days if you did not read the dialog you would be lost on how to complete a quest. Hence the reason for all these 40 IQ players. Witch Queen hasnt released yet soo not sure how that will be integrated into the gamepass.

Wait… are you suggesting that an interesting game has been released recently? Aside from New World (not interested in playing an Amazon game, sorry) what’s come out that’s worth the price tag? I’m interested to see what Halo does to Crucible when it drops though, because I’ll be swapping over to that for at least a bit, for sure.
-
Then don’t play. And ask yourself why are you here trashing a game you wish to not play anymore?
-
I am not trashing the game, but the consumer who is unable to understand the basics of market supply and who will absurdly continue to complain about a product they show total inelastic demand for.
-
What's a hundred dollars on the game? You mean over the year?
-
Destiny 2 has grown to become a $100/year to play, excluding in game cosmetic transactions. New content with beyond light and the seasonal activity is not even 14h per year, including 6h of deadly boring aspects and fragments grind and cyclotomic time gated weekly content.
-
Assuming you're playing everything once.
-
The new expansion is $100 on steam.
-
That's the Expansion + 30th Anniversary bundle, right? I'd figure just one now one later.
-
Yeah it’s the deluxe bundle, but it’s listed in the “top selling” page on Steam so I think that’s the one most people are buying.
-
Eh. If they wanna take the dive there's nothing anyone can do to stop them.
