After the 120 change, you see a little bit of diversity but what most players arent stating is the increase and abundance of teamshooting and cheesiness. In this current state, there is no way anyone with enough common sense and sanity would jump into this game. PVP is garbage. Gambit is garbage. PVE content is rehashed and terrible. Loot is basically non existent and doesnt appeal as much as it used to. Primary engagement and solo hero moments are a thing of the past and most players need a helping hand or a special to perform. The one thing that doesnt exist is “skill”. I dont even have to play Trials nor Comp to come to this realization and the thing is this game has been lacking in the “skill” department for a while now. This is coming from someone who is still rocking Double Primaries most of the time in PVP. So if someone criticizes you about your kd or stats, pay them absolutely no mind. Their kd and stats are build on the very foundation of cheesiness while METAing and teamshooting. I just did a match on Anomaly and the other team was all Hunters running around with shotguns and teamshooting with Hand Cannons like they are competing for the D2 League. I initially was using a Bow and False Promises to see if False Promises could handle the current sandbox. Against a bunch of average players or players have fun, I am sure I can hold my own with it but when you solo engage an opponent only for their teammates to show up like in a game of Rumble and ruin the engagement, it showcases how individual skill is no longer a factor in this game. So I switched to the Chattering Bone and needless to say, I didnt lose not one single engagement from that point forward. This game has continue to lose its lust in gunplay due to the competitive scene introducing boring Trials strats to win engagement in a non competitive game. I get everyone wants to win but this is beyond boring now in terms of gameplay and gunplay. There is diversity somewhat in weapons now but the diversity in playstyles are alarming because everyone seems to play like their life is on the line and it vastly similiar to each other. I pray S15 addresses the boredom by applying the old D1 way of stats where your assists mean nothing and the only way your stats will grow is by your own merit. We need fun back in the game and way more diversity and playstyles than what is currently seen. We need bigger maps and better lobby balancing more than anything and it can start with bringing back Combined Arms as the permanent non competitive playlist while making stacked teams face each other.
