Problem is this actually 2 issues in one and I dont think bungie realise this.
Since BL performance tanked for EVERYONE (Nvidia and AMD users alike) but this specific issue with Tangled shore showing extremely low FPS is something related to AMD GPU's (I currently dont have this issue on my 1080ti) problem is though, they havent fixed the god awful performance they brought with BL, I use to go from hitting 144 cap on medium/high to now sub 120 on low at 1440p. worst part is override can see common dips in to 70s when I dont even know how as this is a localised instance so nothing else is rendered in terms of other AI etc.
Even adjusting resolution or presets does little to aid in FPS which is strange because resolutin scales almost linear with frame rates so reducing resolution by 2x should yield an almost 50% increase in FPS yet I dont see any changes to frame rate.
No idea how consoles are fairing as they use AMD hardware too (same hardware for that fact) but its a bigger issue than just AMD users having issues (not to down play the problem) but attention needs to be brought up for the entirety of the performance shit show this game has got too since BL launched.

Edited by Hajun: 5/20/2021 6:01:15 PMAs for consoles they probably use a different API where as we are stuck with washed dx11 would have been wise for bungie to use Vulcan instead
-
It would be nice if we could try DXVK but Bungie also refuses to tell you if that's allowed if you ask here. Not only can they not be bothered to fix their game, they can't be bothered to tell users if they're allowed to try to fix it.

yh I believe xbox uses DX12 and Sony use some custom Gnmx API (cannot confirm though) and yh Vulkan would have been nice but I guess bungies engine is not going to like that lol

Stadia runs on vulkan

Edited by Hajun: 5/22/2021 4:13:54 AMI know its just sad that they cant implement it as a launch option like a lot of other games have it would do there game good. For once
-
Not a launch option because stadias version is self contained, it's vulkan and nothing else. Would have work in support for the PC edition and yeah they don't care to do that

Edited by Hajun: 5/22/2021 2:30:37 PMI am saying it would be nice as a launch option for steam not it is a launch option for stadia

Edited by Hajun: 5/20/2021 5:44:58 PMOk so 6000 series cards don't even get over 40% utilization and lets not start with non stop stuttering and freezing in crucible Nvidia users have it lucky they have at least playable fps but I suppose I've been punished for going team red this time around

Edited by 123TheCloop: 5/20/2021 6:35:17 PMtbh I wouldnt even call what I have as playable, override is just horrendous. lose almost half my fps on a few ads and particle effects from 6 mans :D the issue plaguing RDNA 2 right now could be a fault with CPU usage (might explain) why enabled multi core rendering in cvar boosts frame rate so much. 1 core simply cannot feed the powerhouse that RDNA 2 is and it just never reaches full utilisation. in other words, general lack of support on bungies part like it was when Ryzen first dropped, D2 couldnt even be loaded because they didnt support it prior to release :D I do suspect all the performance issues we have seen (Nvidia and AMD) users alike all stem from CPU problems. pre BL I would easily see 60%+ usage on my CPU which is a 3700x but now I rarely see 30% and my GPU just never hits 100% usage period
