15 RepliesEdited by mikeyrox1234: 4/11/2021 8:41:39 PMNothing in this game requires skill... Edit: Let me clarify because this comment on the internet hurt someones feelings 😆 No AA does not do all the work... I have never said that and if I did I shouldn’t have. I did say that it does MOST of the work. If the AA of 120’s was not so high you would NOT be hitting shots from 40+ meters so easily. Yes... positioning, team work, gamer sense(predicting) are all things that some people are good at and some people are not. And these are things that the game does not really help you with (gamer sense kind of because of radar but that’s just showing the enemies position). I will retract part of my statement of “Nothing in this game requires skill...” because some things in this game do take skill. If you can even call it that... but I will stand by my statement of our hands being held A LOT! You would not be as good if the AA was lower or if you were not using cheesy abilities... stasis... Regardless, this is a video game. No need to get offended... or comment twice within 5 minutes 😆. Edit 2: I think it’s funny that, I think, everyone that commented is a PvP player 😁. In the end it’s just a video game and should not be taken seriously! Hope y’all have a great day! 😁😁

1 ReplyEdited by TD1380: 4/12/2021 1:32:40 PMThere are posts on this topic that say almost every special requires no skill. Shotguns (slugs excluded) : no skill Fusions: easy mode Snipers: too easy If that were the case, we’d all be crucible gods. The fact is that shotguns, and felwinters especially, very much reward the people who can best utilize the games movement mechanics. Hunters with crazy jumping skills, dodging, Bakris, and super fast movements, are hard to compete with. Stasis titans can slide halfway across the map. Dawnblades that cover ground with the speed of a demon... People who are not that good will get some kills with shotguns but cannot do it consistently, game after game. The issue is more so that the gun in the hands of a really skilled user is deadly. But it’s way easier to claim it takes no skill.

2 RepliesTakes less skill, that’s for sure.

its a bit too good up close, but my Astral makes a good substitute
-
nah - all it takes is high mobility and a scavenger mod

Edited by IAGNRG: 4/12/2021 12:02:45 AMI want to agree, but when I use it I fail to get any consistent kills, so I think you need at least some sort of practice with it. But slugs? I can use those no problem lol.

if it took no skill then i could use it, so your wrong.

7 RepliesShotgun movement requires skill. Good mover would kill you with any gun. That’s why I don’t like to use shotguns myself, I am not good enough in closing that gap and prefer backpedaling.

3 RepliesWhat really makes me laugh is when I get bagged by a stasis hunter who used every single ability to slow me and then finishes me off with felwinters. Then they bag me for killing them a few times beforehand with my little side arm and mida. I mean if you have to bag a side arm user with your mighty felwinters then you’re just bad. Arc Titan life 🤪

Im just glad for quickdraw nerf, it really takes the negatives of the heavy hitting archetypes and completely eliminates them without having to give up anything in return (mod space/exotics). I mean why should the heaviest weapons also be able handle faster than light-weight etc.
-
Yes and no. If you are just bad at the game (like me) not even a crutch this strong can save me from someone who's actually good, but yeah often I feel like Felwinter's and Astral Horizon just do too much damage. What I do actually find broken though is that you can peek around corners with swords to avoid getting sniped.

Could just do a d1 and limit the special ammo, if everyone wasn't a walking special ammo box maybe people would use primaries a tiny bit more
-
1 ReplyShotguns take skill just like everything. Just using a shotgun doesn’t automatically make you go positive every match

1 ReplyThe weapon takes little skill, the movement of shotgun mains are a different matter. Being able to close the distance and create angles are definitely skills.

Braindead aping where u trade at best is easy Actually helping your team with a shotgun is far harder

21 RepliesWhat if you 1vs1 someone 10 times and you both have felwinters on and said person beats you ten times. Why would their no skill felwinters beat your no skill felwinters?

1 ReplyAiming a shotgun is easy, but the correct movement and flow needed to maximise shotgun efficiency is something that’s lost on 99% of the pvp population

In a game full of one shot abilities, one shot specials and weapons with ttk of less than a second not to mention the gigantic hitboxes in this game, I would say nothing in this game really takes any skill.

I mean it’s a shotgun you aim and shoot any extra flair or expertise added on comes from the user, I myself stopped using CQC-12 and switched to Felwinter because it performed better even if CQC-12 FEELS better.
